I had her for one course many years ago. There was a medium amount of reading and memorization, but overall not hard. She covered little in class and often brought her infant with her. We each had to teach one day, and she would leave. Overall, she seemed lazy. Also, she has views that are not well accepted in the field that you must agree with.

You couldn't ask for a more interesting, eclectic, and cool woman. However, her assignments were cruelly exhaustive. You might read 150 pages in a night, then go to class only to have her talk about one paragraph of that reading. Then on test day, she drops a huge, bulging, comprehensive behemoth of a test over things you wouldn't imagine. Her class was interesting, though. My only problem was her expectations of our test performance after such little discussion of most of the topics.

Her expectations were always unclear and unrealisticm for example, reading 100 pages a night? She seemed frazzled. I spent way too much on textbooks that I never used, while had a plethora of readings on reserve! Ugh!

Great Professor. Expects a lot from her students. Expect to work hard in her classes, but to learn a lot. Her classes are a little taste of what Graduate School will be like. Only for serious students!
