she didn't give feedback on anything throughout the semester, which made it hard to study for. The class was also really dependent on how you did on the tests since the weekly assignments are really easy and didn't have a lot of points.

Dr. Harry is an okay instructor. Her PowerPoint lectures are disorganized. She's disorganized. But she's a nice persona and generally wants you to do well. The class is interesting and, if you like archaeology, you should enjoy the class. I definitely did, but I don't think I'd take another class with her.

I had to take this class for my multi-cultural requirement at UNLV. I'm very glad I chose this class b/c the professor and the material were both very good and presented in a clear way. Three exams and one biography report. Great class especially if you are interested in the Southwest Native tribes of the United States.

I took this class online, which was very well set up. The class objectives were very clear and Dr. Harry responded very quickly to any e-mails. There were three multiple choice exams and one paper. It was an enjoyable class overall. Not too difficult and pretty interesting.

Very interesting class and not too hard. After the first exam, she reduced the number of questions on the exams so there was plenty of time to take the exams.

Online class with three exams and one paper. Extra credit worth only 10 points. Beware of this class. The exam is multiple choice - 100 questions in 75 minutes. Sounds good, but it is not nearly enough time to finish. Emails from the class ran high to one another about it. The instructor just says that we all did not prepare well enough. WOW.......

I liked the class. I think there were three exams and one paper. The paper was 10 pages on a biography you can select from a list. That part wasn't so great, but the rest of the class was wonderful.

She's fun and knows her archaeology. The study guides make her tests passable, doesn't curve the grade [from what I can tell] and the material applies to other Anthro classes. Reading the book would help, but I didn't.

Comment:
Disorganized, often late to class, lectures were all over the place, yet holds students to a higher standard; a bit arrogant & doesn't like a lot of questions in class. Lots of reading; exams are pretty tough & she's a fairly harsh grader. Has great passion for the subject but really should be out in the field excavating; not a great teacher.

Some folks seem to think that ceramic analysis is not artifact analysis. Get a clue, ceramics are artifacts, dah. The labs are well thought out and she expects you to have your act together. This class prepares you for serious archaeology. If you're just a pretender don't attend.

This class is ceramic analysis NOT artifact analysis like it says in the class description. Labs are long and directions are not clear at all. Tests are ridiculous, get ready to read tons of articles every week not to mention your text book. Do not take this class unless you are seriously interested in ceramics because that is all you do!

She tends to be very disorganized and unclear. The physical anthropology material covered in class contradicts what was taught in ANTH 102. Take Roth at all costs!

She is extremely passionate about her field. Her discussions of physical anthropology tend to contradict what is learned in the previous ANTH 102 class. Her tests are formatted to be tricky, and the class involves a great deal of reading.

She is very passionate about the subject but her preference for one area of the world shows. She cant answer a lot of the questions thrown at her. Her lecture notes are all over the place and unorganized. Archaeology is an interesting subject and she doesnt give it the justice it deserves.

Harry belongs in the field NOT in the class. Her exams are way too long and cover material we didnt cover in class. She doesn't curve either which didnt help our class average. I missed 2 days all semester, and barely got a B. I wouldn't take her again unless I HAD to and couldn't get another prof!

This class was so easy! All I had to do was show up for class. I took notes and studied only those and got an a. Sure you have to study for the tests, but people do so badly because they don't want to put in two hours the night before memorizing. I you care for a good grade, just study.

Give her a grant and let her excavate! The tests do not match the class notes. The average grade on the last test was 66%. (and we studied!) Nice lady, but definitely more of a field excavator, which is OK, as we all have our niche!

WAY too much reading! More than my other 400 level classes put together. Not only is there a lot of it, but it's also not very relevant.
