Comment:

Karen is truly a gifted teacher. You definately want to take her class. Do not expect an easy grade. It is best to put your all into the class. If you work hard, you will do very well. I have grown very accustom to Karen, and she is a sweet woman. I have learned more from Karen than any other English teacher. I am forever grateful to Karen.

Karen is a great professor; however, she is rude when you try to talk to her, during office hours. I have learned quite a bit, but my overall thought of her class is that she talks too much off topic. We had a grammar exam and she had bonus questions that were stupid. She had a question that asked, "what would you put on a cake for me?"

Professor obviously loves what she does and is very educated; however, she is easily stressed out, she insults students who ask questions, she is about ten minutes late to class everyday, and she wastes class time with stories and chatter. She is a good teacher overall, but you don't get your money's worth because of all the time she wastes.

Karen is very knowlegable on her subject. This is a class where if you pay attention; you will learn a lot. She sometimes complains, but who doesn't. I thought because of her handicap she would be just down right mean, but I must say she's a great teacher. Take this class and you will be ready for any Eng class in the future.

Prof. Holt is some what nice however if you get on her bad side she is very rude & short w/ you. She is not that helpful. Her Humanities class is easy if you understand how to take notes. She rambles about a lot of nonsense. I agree w/ the previous writer about this Prof. her attendance policy can be hypocrytical.

I took her poetry writing class and it was interesting, if only for my fellow classmates. I did not appreciate her hypocrisy when it came to her attendance policy. Near the end of the semester she was hardly ever there and as such I do not feel I got my full money's worth for that class. She's a good person but not so great professor.

Holt has to be one of the worst teachers at Rose State. She just need to retire. She cried multiple times in class and easily gets off subject with one of her useless stories. She talks about her handicap all the time. She loves to play favorites. Do not take this woman.

By far the worst Professor yet. She so far has canceled classes with no prior notice. These have been classes she has listed as "DO NOT MISS." She as well rambles for most the class with out covering anything over the class and constantly complains about what she can and can not do because of her hand. Always seeking some sort of sympathy .

Horrid teacher. I would NOT reccommend her. She complains all the time, was LATE every day and then got onto other kids about their being late. She just needs to retire. Doesn't seem to care on bit about her students.

Karen was great. Unfortunately, she was unable to finish out the final part of the class, and no one was too sure when she would be back. We were only responsible for 10/14 simple quizes over the reading assignment, and for a midterm test and an oral final. I got 100% on the quizes, and a 107% on the midterm. The final was with another professor.

AMAZING TEACHER!! Never have I met a woman that EXCITED about grammer!! I went to shawnee...didn't learn CRAP about grammer.....I never have to second guess myself anymore. DO NOT take her if you want to blow the class off. She will kick you out and not let you back. :) GOOD FOR YOU KAREN!!
