Overall it was an easy class. There were many quizzes that you had to study for since they greatly affect your grade. If you have no prior interest in the topic i recommend taking something else. Lectures can be something boring. She is helpful, although, attendance is mandatory, otherwise she will be unhappy.

She's a fantastic teacher who makes the subject interesting. The quizzes and tests are fair, 5 small papers and there's a big research paper we had to do. It was also is the easiest writing intensive class you'll ever take if it's offered as such.

Dr. Wendy Cotter CSJ is one of the greatest things that has happened to me. Her scripture knowledge is unbelievable. She has also helped engage my faith. A must take core class or theo major class. CSJ all the way!

Dr. Cotter is a really great teacher. There are 2 essay based exams and she gives the questions ahead of time. A few quizzes and a couple response papers. Easy to get an A as long as you pay attention in lecture.

She can totally turn on you, and you're at a loss why. She can make a big deal out of something very small and say the worst about you. Then I heard she has a bad rep for turning on students that goes way back. She can be painful to deal with and if she turns on you, it's probably not you that is the problem. Avoid, save yourself a headache.

She was a huge disappointment. Sometimes she's great, but she's not consistent at all. That makes her stink as a teacher. I'm sorry I ever got to know her. And I'm a straight A student, even earned an A in her class, but she can have a psycho temper. Has her favorites. Don't take her unless you have to. Then just do your work and stay away.

While it may be an 'easy' A you pay a price for it. You may believe her writing assignments to be straight forward, but if you don't end up typing word for word that which she exactly stated in class you can bet you won't do well on the paper or you will have to redo it. No independent thought is allowed in any of the papers you write.

Great prof. Very helpful. Sometimes not so clear but she was very passionate about her lectures- memorized all of our names which is pretty great. There for her students. Show up to class and do the readings. A couple quizzes, paper,midterm, and a final- both essay format.

lol she is very eccentric, but i really liked her. the class can be boring at times if you aren't interested in theology. 2 easy papers, midterm and final are essay format where she gives you possible questions a week before the test. pay attention, and take good notes and study and it is an easy A

Dr. Cotter is by far the best professor I've encountered at Loyola. She works so hard to help her students learn her material, related relevant material, and tools to be the best student possible. I'm so grateful to her. I also like her accent. I also don't understand why "easy" is a good rating on this scale; class should be challenging.

great professor she is really into what she teaches and you learn a lot about the New Testament. she is picky on the midterm takes away a lot of points. only 2 papers to write and they are fairly simple. if u wanna get an A u have to work for it

Dr. Cotter is incredibly lenient, understanding, and absolutley academically professional. Her time teaching grade school definitely shows and can become a bit...unchallenging?...but it is obvious that she really knows her stuff. Very clear, very helpful, very friendly.
