This woman is heinous. She is unhelpful, her slides make so sense and on top of that she is just mean. I had her for Civ Pro I and I vow to never take her again. Some people I know are taking her for evidence bc they heard she "wasn't as bad" for it. But they do so at their own peril. I wrote one of the nastiest reviews in my school career for her.

She is the type of professor you need to have one on one time with...if you go to her office for clarification and show her that you seriously care about learning the material, she will do everything she can to help...much better with upper level classes than with 1Ls

OK- If you get her for 1L civpro, that is unfortunate but there is a way to survive. Buy the Emmanuel written by Cross. Have it open in class and outline WHILE she lectures- weave what she has on slides into your outline. Do this EVERY CLASS...her tests are insane, but if you do this and study (almost memorizing rules if possible) you'll do OK.

Karen Jordan is the worst teacher I have ever had in my 20 years of schooling. She is not helpful or even nice to her students. Going to her office hours is pointless unless you want to participate in a stare down competition.I wouldn't take another class by her even if my JD depended on it. I would transfer first

Karen Jordan is a foul teacher with little to no ability at making people understand things, particularly civil procedure, which many students find challenging enough already. She's mean to students, and enjoys obfuscating what could otherwise be easily understood subject matter.

She is a very nice person, but class is boring. This year she was not hostile toward students, and seemed really helpful, but her tests are hard since they are open book. For people who don't write well on demand and need to revise things take another prof. Overall she is very open to helping students and very nice, just boring in class!

She was the worst professor I ever had in law school. Do everything you can to not take this class with her. You will not learn ANYTHING, and civ pro is on the bar. She made the comment "Were moving on whether you understand or not" in my class too, and that was a few yrs ago. She has no business teaching. For the life of me, I don't understand why she still teaches civ pro. It seemed to me the entire time that she didn't fully grasp it herself.

She is just not a good teacher. She does not explain things well, and gets frustrated when asked questions. She actually said in class that we have to move on whether we understand or not.
