She consistently has Teacher assistants explain everything (which they do poorly) and routinely lectures about nothing involving engineering. I want to be an engineer not a motivational speaker.

Gives test every 2 weeks, which is all fairly easy. She is a stickler for units and capitalization. During lectures, she either uses an online program learning catalytics or will put problems on a power point that you do on a paper and turn in, making you attend lectures. I wouldn't recommend her as an instructor, but her class was perfect. The course was so simple, it was laughable. Really basic material. Supposed to be an introductory engineering class, was more of an "intro to college" class. Taught me how to be a "good student" along with study tips and teamwork strength. She's very intrigued but scatterbrained.

Absolute pointless class. All of the work given is busy work and has little to nothing to do with engineering. She just reads off of the slides and doesn't explain anything. The class is very frustrating.

She rarely teaches. Most of the time it is either the Teacher Assistants, Guest Speakers, or other sources. As well, the introductory class that I had her for did not have much to do with an introduction to Engineering. It was a class on how to make friends and ended up forcing us to do so.

Do not take this professor. Use of the book was for busy work. She gave small quizzes online for book, then gave massive tests in class 2 weeks later that were extremely hard. Not only was bookwork busy work, all other work was also busy work. This class is one huge excuse for a requirement. She may be a clear teacher but teaches useless things.

uses power points all the time, easy teacher. if you dont understand it ask, she will show u how to do it. her TA was dumb as a door knob and he sucked at correcting. the question stated to put the answer in mA so i did. he marked it wrong because HE wanted it in uA. but shes not bad.

Expects extensive knowledge of matlab even though some students have not taken it due to the university not knowing what it's doing with its curriculum. Refuses to post solutions to in-class problems and given HW solutions are straight from the solution manual.

Stay Away! Exams are sometimes surprise material never seen before. if you never used matlab before, oh well too bad for you! good luck teaching yourself that program using google. Extremely Difficult professor!

Payton was alwalys late to class and un prepared for the lesson. She did not have a functioning syllabus. Homework was assigned at the end of class and she was unwilling to post assignements in a timely manner. Examples were not representative of homework or tests. Grading was unfare and her compentency for teaching this course is questionable.

tough **** though professor didnt make it easy
