I was really scared to take him based off of this website but honestly he's an awesome guy. His class was definitely a little challenging but what do you expect at this level. As long as you pay attention in lectures, do your homework and use your textbook you'll be fine. Just make sure you review all 3 or you'll be in for a surprise.

I have the class online, this class is not really hard for me but I use a lot of time to understand all the material, the ppt he posted is not easy to understand, I think it only can be used for lecture not online class.

This class was rather tough. I felt that I was teaching a lot of the material to myself. The tests were not that easy nor was the Connect homework. I did enjoy a lot of his lectures though.

Didn't learn anything by going to class. This guy's lectures barely relate to what we do on the test'shomework. Had to teach myself 90% of the concepts in this class and I'm not a finance person so that was a bit tough. It's a good thing he scales the grades. Good guy, but doesn't teach very well. Thankfully there's Google and the textbook.

This class was very difficult. He was available to meet for extra help but that didn't help clarify the material. He was out the last two weeks of the semester so there was not much time to review for the final. I never missed a class. This class will be luck if 20% pass.

This class would have been easier with a professor who was helpful. I emailed him a number of time, and went to office hours; he never responded and was never in his office. He often says the wrong thing in class, then tries to fix it, making the class even more confused. It's as though he doesn't care about the students.

took this class online...had homework due for every chapter and all the questions on the exams came from the problems in the end of each chapter...was a little slow in responding to emails and sometimes posting the homework on the homework website...tests were multiple choice and below each question said check my answer

This professor just doesn't care. I have no idea how he is a department chair, I guess that says a lot about the finance dept. His my courses is cluttered badly, still uses material left over from years ago, the material is labeled as "spring" even for fall classes, and goes back to 2009 (it's fall of 2011 now). Either he doesn't care, or is lazy.

I would highly recommend avoiding this professor. He does not really care if you pass, the material is impossible, and his teaching methods lack. His exams barely relate to the HW meaning you will have 0 clue of what to expect. Sure, I got a B+ but I spent hours a night studying. You've been warned.

People who complained that you are not going to learn anything from him are wrong. If you are taking his classes you are supposed to know basic algebra and some statistics. Of course he's not going to teach you how to solve a linear equation, which I guess most students expect of him. However, he is very detailed in teaching finance part.

took an intersession course with him. can be hard to understand and takes more than a little bit of effort to pay attention. he is help if you ask questions but he usually doesn't understand exactly what you are asking. gives you printouts of notes and reviews which are very helpful. tests are based off of reviews.

if a foreign professor is going to be implemented into an american teaching system, regardless of qualifications, one should have to achieve minimum communication standards in the english language. not only will you not be able to understand his speech or writing, but if you question it expect a response that questions your intellect.
