Comment:
Professor Remmler is an amazing professor, and she's ultimately the reason I stayed at MHC. Not the toughest grader but participation is CRUCIAL in her class. One tip I'd give newcomers is always ask for feedback; she's very insightful with it. Also, take advantage of her office hours! Stopping by helped a lot with understanding things further.

SO MUCH WORK, but all for a reason. If you do the work, you'll enjoy the class. She makes you think and gives great feedback. Lots of reading, writing, and speaking. Very accessible if you go to office hours, email, talk before/after class. Makes you work HARD, but it was worth it. You're in charge of your own success in her class. Great professor

Honestly, you NEED to ask her for clarity. What is expected/when it is due is always a mystery, but she really does want to help seeking it is just not optional. Class isn't very engaging, but she really tries and definitely doesn't want anyone to do badly in her class. A very sweet yet simultaneously intimidating person.

Very intense but also very helpful and understanding. Somehow manages to be uptight and warm at the same time. I find her personality amusing at times. High expectations but totally worth it.

I really liked Karen. I took my German senior seminar with her directly after Sept. 11th about memorial building ..the classes were always great and I loved the unique format (website building, role playing) and interesting discussions.

Took 3 classes with prof- OLD school- seems difficult and cold only because she won't spoon feed you. Will bend over backwards/be warm if you show interest. Her style greatly benefited me/my German post-graduation

I don't get her. Very confusing person, hard to read, doesn't tell you what she expects then gets upset when you don't deliver.
