This was the worst class I have ever taken. She will go off topic mid-sentence and start talking about her cat. She is a very hard grader and her tests are all essays. She called me Hitler on one of the tests. Stay away from her if at all possible.

I took Philosophy 101 to fulfill my gen. ed. credit. This was the most painful class I've ever taken. Don't bother doing the reading you're going to go over it for the next two weeks. Write down everything she says in lecture verbatim and you'll get an A on the tests.

This lady is so strange. I read on here if you sucked up to her she would pass you. Not true. I was so involved in the class and it didnt matter. only gives a mid term and final. And while that sounds nice if you dont write the exact thing/ run out of time for the essay test, you wont pass. She also grades by stamping incorrect on it

She is the most mind numbing teacher I have ever encountered, which is disappointing, because philosophy is supposed to be a fun thing to talk about. Right? Wrong. She just talks. FOREVER. She doesn't print handouts, she won't write notes on the white board, and I have no idea what she's talking about 99.9% of the time. She's not worth the effort.

Very skewed towards Christianity to the point of being incapable to teach basic philosophy. Claimed theology and philosophy were the same thing, Socrates was a pre-Christ Christian and that the natural evolution of all religion and philosophy is Catholicism. Claimed we were too stupid to understand because we went to public school and she private.

She taught me everything I know about Socrates. She stands up there talking for the entire hour of class. There are 2 tests for the entire class, midterm and final. Take notes on the lectures, don't skip class, and expand on your answers on the tests and you'll do good. She's pretty hot for her age. I'd take her again that's for sure.

If you're really into philosophy, you will like her. If not, you won't. Her lectures come directly from the books you are required to have, but she often goes off on tangents and it's unclear whether they are part of the material you are required to know. She does not mark your tests, just gives you a letter grade. Skip class and you are SOL.

I LOVE SEUBERT. I took 5 or more classes taught by her, and she has opened my eyes. she is probably one of my favorite professors. All of her classes teach the same thing in a different context, and it is beautiful. If you pay attention closely, she straight up glows. I am not the only one who has noticed.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS - Professor Seubert is the most traditional professor I have ever had. She doesn't provide you with notes, you have to write down exactly what she says & the only grades are the midterm and the final which are practically impossible. I literally memorized my notes and managed to get a B+ on the midterm.

So far, this was my absolute least favorite class. She is a very tough grader. I would use my free time to study and review, and I still got a C on one of her three tests. She lectures poorly, going off topic on other philosophers. Very easy to not pay attention. Her notes, when she ever writes them, are misleading.

Don't take Seubert, but if you do: Don't you dare have your own opinion in this class. Keep your head down and agree with the professor. Pay attention to the lecture, write down everything she says (except her ramblings on native Americans). Follow this format and by the midterm/final you can probably regurgitate the lecture into your essay.

only 2 tests, the midterm and final, Both are essay tests. She's honestly a horrible teacher. She talks over you when you question her or the text. I think that she believes that she's Socrates or something. she's honestly full of herself. Just don't take this class.

Dr. Seubert's class consists of very long and boring lectures. The material is very interesting but I would advise anyone NOT TO TAKE THIS CLASS. The only grades you get for the ENTIRE YEAR are the mid-term and the final.. What makes this worse is they are essay tests. She is very nice if you talk to her out of class. I don't know how I got a B..

Laughs at students who answer questions wrong, tells long and irrelevant personal stories, and grades very harshly. Only two grades this semester. When she grades a paper, it's almost impossible to decipher her marks so you'll never know what you need to work on. Rude and condescending to students who don't understand the material.
