If you pay attention in class, ask questions, and do your homework you can easily get an A. Karen is an excellent teacher and offers plenty of extra credit. She is easily the best math teacher I've ever had.

She requires a lot of work. If you miss one day, you will DEFINITELY be behind. She does offer extra credit every single day but you only get it if you stay the whole class. Overall, she was a pretty good teacher. Always went over your questions and topics you didn't understand.

I've really enjoyed taking math with Karen. She goes over the material well and makes sure you're understanding. You do have to attend class almost everyday or you will get behind. I would definitely suggest her for a math professor.

Comment:

She is a GREAT teacher. She really tries to help her students and wants to help when something is not understood. You have to show up to class and stay on top of your homework though. If you put in the time, you will see good results. My lowest test score was a 98%. DO THE EXTRA CREDIT! IT DOESN'T TAKE THAT LONG AND REALLY HELPS YOUR GRADE

Karen is a really good teacher, and explains problems clear and concisely. Be prepared, because she gives daily quizzes, which point out which areas you struggle with. Attendance is really important, and make sure you do all the Extra Credit, it helps out in the end.

Karen is an awesome Professor, I was a late addition to the class and she filled me in quickly and got me up too speed. She teaches in a way that helps you to get it. She is very organized and clear on what is expected. Do the work and apply yourself and you will do very well. She is the best professor I have had so far. Wish she taught everything!

Karen is a great instructor who quite literally changed my opinion about algebra! I would look for her as a course instructor again any day. Karen gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit, quizes every class but also "warm up" material before the quiz - I truly believe that she wants you to pass. You either learn the material or you dont

Mrs. Smydra is an excellent teacher. I would go as far as to say she is one of the best college professors I've ever had. Very concise and to the point. No lengthy digressions about her personal life. She teaches the material in a very clear manner. You are never questioning what you need to do for the class, it's all very clear.

Karen is an awesome professor. I don't think I have ever been this good at math before. The way she teaches is understandable. I would differently have this professor again. If you struggle with math she is the perfect professor for you. This isn't a blow off class, attendance is important. you will get behind if you don't come.

She is seriously the best professor out there. I have never gotten an A in math in my life and I didn't get below a 96 on any test. The way she explains things she makes it just click in your head where it all just seems to make sense. Attendance isn't mandatory and I actually rarely showed up and still 4.0 the class. Would definitel take her again

In the beginning I was a bit skeptical about Karens lecture style because she can go over things a bit too fast but as long as you mention it shes willing to slow down and go over what ever it was you didnt understand. She gives a good amount of extra credit and is extremely organized and clear on assignments and what she expects. Take her!!

She teaches in a way to not let any students get left behind. She offers TONS of extra credit opportunities. She does daily quizzes so you can identify areas you struggle with before failing a test. Homework is regular as well. Basically if you've ever struggled in math, she's the best professor out there!

Karen is so amazing! If you need MATH 112, or any math in that case, TAKE IT WITH HER! She's an awesome professor. She's very clear, answers any questions, and gives out extra credit almost everyday. Her tests are almost exactly like her practice tests. She even lets you listen to music during tests sometimes. She my favorite LCC professor!

Mrs. Smydra completely changed my view on math. I have ALWAYS struggled with math, but she makes everything so easy to understand. She is extremely patient and is willing to meet up with you outside of class for extra help and recommends other resources as well. She is a really nice lady, and I wouldn't dream of ever taking another prof.

Mrs. Smydra is an amazingly effective math professor. She is very organized in her lectures with color-coded papers, material, and responds very quickly to messages. Quizzes every class period to keep you accountable for homework, since math requires a lot of practice to become successful at it. She made math fun and "learnable".

All notes, warm ups and quizzes were color coded. every test had extra credit. Smydra was helpful and took time to answer any questions for homework. Would recommend her to anyone. I usually don't like math or I fail and with this course thats not the case.

Great Professor. She is very well organized, papers are even color coded. Gives a daily quiz, which is usually 5 questions reviewing the previous days assignmenthomework.
