She is a horrible prof. All she does is read powepoints. She doesn't make you learn the material just fill in the blanks. There is no homework and a bonus quiz every once in awhile. Good luck with her she is HORRIBLE.

This class was HORRIBLE. Dr. Strasser makes it clear that she is high up in the department, so if you don't like her, that's just too bad. Instead of telling students how to prepare, she focuses on all of the ways to fail, and her lecture consists of her reading notes off a powerpoint. It seems like she enjoys seeing students fail.

NO BOOK !!! Study lecture notes and lecture questions and u will be fine. Easiest Intro Bio Teacher there is. Lab is awful. You will stay practically the whole 3 hrs because she will take her time to check EVERYONE'S lab manual.

My favorite quotes from her: "**** is for everyone!!" And my other favortie: "Don't deny it! You all do it!" (in reference to looking at your own **** in the toilet). Her class was tough this semester, but overall I think she's the best biology teacher you can get at Ferris. Just STUDY STUDY STUDY!!

If you want to get into Pharmacy you MUST take her for Bio!! She is sooo nice and it's an easy class. I never read the book and only studied her printed notes on the weekends. I got an A with no problem. She also gives bonus quizzes. Up to an extra 7.5% on each test!! I almost always got the points for these. Just pay attention.

The best bio teacher FSU has to offer! Study q's and bonus quizzes prepare you well for exams. You actually feel like you learned something after her classes unlike other Bio teachers that just blab. Expects you to know your material in and out, but tests are a breeze if you study! Take her!!

I liked this prof. She knows her stuff and explains it all very well. She does cover a lot of material in a short amount of time but gives you enough review in the weekly review questions to learn the material. If you do your work and go to class, you will be fine.

Good teacher. Uses PowerPoint for lecture/notes & follows it - no surprises. If you follow the lecture, read the book, do the study guide, participate in labs, & read the handouts, you'll do well. She's a great teacher but understandably not very tolerant of students who slack and don't participate.

She seems to be the best for 121 from what i've heard but its hard to bring your grade up because there are only 3 exams and the final and they cover absolutely everything. I studied my ass of and never got higher than a B- on an exam. I wouldnt expect an A unless you study every single day.
