Comment:

Mrs. Thessing was honestly a good teacher. There's an assignment pretty much every day of class and a lab almost every week, so there's tons of points available. As long as you go to class and do most of the assignments you should be fine. The tests are easy as long as you review the worksheets and power points. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

she does not really teach in class. she just sits there and gives you the code and expects you to know how to do it. I would never take this class again with this professor she is absolutely horrible.

Comment:

Professor Thessing is an okay professor. She is very caring and willing to help, but I felt a lot of what she would talk about in class didn't help much, especially with tests (which are the hardest part of the class by far). In class there isn't a lot of programming you do on your own which I felt hurt you when you got to lab. Not bad overall.

While she knows her subject, I did not find her to be the best teacher. She often glosses over subjects that are important, but spends extra time on trivialities. She certainly cares and will go out of her way to help students, which is commendable. Labs in this class were a bit excessive.

If you like working on computers and online classes, Intro to Computing is for you. There is a lot of hw for this class, how fast you can move through it depends on how much you know ahead of time about comuter programs and organizing, compressing, decompressing, etc data and how fast you learn. Do the tests right after the similar hw.

wow this was the EASIEST class I have ever taken. For real if you do not get above a 97% there is something wrong with you. Easiest elective ever. Online way to go

Easy A if you show up! She posts powerpoints for tests and goes over them in class. All tests are online, and you can use the powerpoint with the answers on them. You have homework every weekend but it is assigned on Wednesday, and you can do it until Sunday night. MyITLab was expensive. Only real negative is that she talks SO MUCH.

EASIEST A EVER!!! You barely have to know anything about Microsoft Access to pass this. No tests, just 25 point assignments due every MWF and she gives step by step video instructions. You can do them ahead of time because she releases all 15 projects on the first day. I finished the whole course in two weeks just by doing a couple a day.

EASY A if you attend class and do your work! You get points for doing classwork and you cant fail because she goes through each step and will stop to help you. MyIT Lab was $85 for me, but other than that, not too bad of a class. DO NOT BUY A BOOK because we never used one.

Professor Thessing is a wonderful teacher! I almost blew my A because she is STRICT on missing class with out an excuse. TAKE HER TAKE HER! EASY A .... If you don't get an A in this class you can't blame anyone but yourself. MyItLab was a little Pricey but overall I loved this class

Loved this online class. Good amount of work and very easy/clear work. Step by step instructions make is really easy to learn. Love Ms. Thessing she was awesome and was quick to reply by email when I needed help. Would definitely take her again.

Intro to Databases. Easy 1 hour class!! You have to attend the first week & then after that if you do your work ahead of time you don't have to attend! If you choose to do it in class instead of on your own time, she will help you step by step. Nice lady! EASY EASY A. Downside: you do have to buy the SAM program which is kind of pricy!

She is really nice. Doesn't really use the text book. Her tests are easy if you study her PowerPoints. Online labs are pretty straightforward and will help you if it messes up. Easy A if you just do the work.

Such a sweetheart! She will help you with anything! Don't blow off your tests though, there are only like 2 of them and they are worth 200 points! I blew off my 1st one and now don't have an A anymore. You should easily walk out of this class with an A if you just put some time into it!
