Comment:

Father Connolly is an older guy and can sometimes lecture a little too long or show a video that's boring and totally irrelevant, but he lets you know exactly what to expect on tests. If you skim the reading and sort of pay attention in class, you should be totally fine. You can choose a couple questions on each test to cross off without penalty.

Patrick Connolly is not the greatest of professors. His teaching styles are outdated and his view of students is of the 60's. There is a lot of homework and a lot of quizzes, however, if you read the assigned chapters the tests are pretty easy. He is also an easy grader.

Easy and objective class - homework is the easiest, and as long as you study his notes and the book you'll do fine on the 5 quizzes. Midterm is based on quizzes, and I'm assuming the final is as well. One group project and there are panels at the beginning of class where you come to the front and answer questions. Lectures are very boring.

He is nice but very much the aged, absent-minded professor who repeats himself and goes on random tangents. HW is easy but lectures aren't exactly entertaining. Midterm and final based off the quizzes. Easy to get an A. Hard to pay attention.

really boring, annoying, repeats what he's said, senile, well-meaning but WAY too in love with the sound of his own voice. I'd advise everyone to avoid, although it's somewhat irrelevant as the old man will probably drop dead by the time anyone even reads this.

As much as I hate this class it is not too difficult. Connolly forgets he's already said something and repeats it about a million times so its really easy to remember things for the quizzes and tests. As long as you go to class and follow his little rules you'll be fine. He doesn't assign any essays which i've heard the other teachers do.

Fr. Connelly is extremely knowledgeable and knows what he's talking about. He's a kind old man who sincerely means well. The way he runs his class is old school and by the book, but he's not difficult or mean. He basically gives you all the answers for your final and midterm. If you listen to his lectures and do the readings you'll do well.

Means well, but also enjoys his power... sometimes he will snap "this isn't grade school" or just stare at you angrily for a long time if you whisper even one word to the person next to you. But other than being moody sometimes, he is pretty easy, but you DO have to read for panel (being put on the spot to answer questions about book) or quizzes.

father connolly is a very kind man, although he does show his age... sometimes he is forgetful and sometimes talks about things out of the blue... but it's okay. just listen to his lectures (although it does boring) of his main points and you'll do fine in his class.

Constantly goes off on boring tangents that have nothing to do with the class. Material is easy, but trust me he will make it wayyy more difficult than it should be due to the fact he doesn't know how to teach. Told me a month before the final I was getting a 'good grade' in the class, I took the final, thought I did alright. Then he gave me a C!

Means well but all his classes consist of lectures. With such a stuffy and windowless room = death. He'll have you do readings and right quiz questions about the material but then admit in class that half of the book is garbage and to disregard it. The best way to succeed is go to class, do the work, and chew gum or drink caffeine to stay awake.

He repeats everything over and over and over again and says the most ridiculously frustrating things. I dreaded this class every day that I had it and had the most busywork in this one than in any other class. one of the most frustrating teachers i've ever had- avoid him.

Be careful to write ""rock 'n' roll" on your quiz and not "rock and roll"- he will mark it wrong. Do your reading and questions and you will be fine. He goes off on tangents, but I learned a lot.

I loved going to his class, He can get boring at times, but he's also really funny. If you ever talk to him out side of class you'll love him even more. Just do the homework, skim through the book and you'll pass with a B+ or higher. Great Teacher.
