Shocking number of grammar and spelling errors in materials and videos, at least some of which are 5 years old. Does not follow the best practices she holds you to in your programs. Annoying but not difficult. Textbook unnecessary. CIS122 is prereq to rest of CS curriculum, so grin and bear it.

What others are saying is true, Kari can be kind of unorganized, but she is very willing to help you if you are stuck on something and offers a lot of extra credit. I learned a lot in her class (intro to programming) and got an A despite having no prior programming experience.

Very helpful and accommodating. I had her online and I often called her when I was stuck on a program she always answered or called back and helped me. Honestly just watch the videos do examples in the book and you'll understand this class. I got an A.

Not easy to deal with. Her own programs don't work some of the time. She is spacey and can be very brass. Has her own way of grading. Almost impossible to get high grade. I withdrew and changed major because of this class.

She adds grading criteria to labs *when* she grades them. Her own programs are buggy. She is completely unorganized and scatterbrained. She even was taking the same class that she was teaching one semester. She should've stuck with COBOL.
