I took her class online. Absolute nightmare keeping up with the work. I'm writing this as I'm sitting on 2 HW assignments, 2 projects, and an online exam in the next 3 days. Worst decision I ever made. Hate this with a passion. If someone knows how to balance this much work please let me know.

Unprofessional, is selective about whose email she responds to, makes frequent mistakes, extremely unclear grading criteria, refuses to give proper help or solutions because she thinks you won't learn if she does. Uploads things very late and relies too much on group work. Would not recommend, ever.

Gives unreasonable amounts of groupwork and homework. Yells at you if you don't understand the material. Does not communicate information well. Her instructions are not clear so students have no idea what she expects from them. Does not prepare you for exams. First exam average was 57, median 62.

Comment:

I was scared to take her class because of the reviews, but I did her class online so my review might differ. She was very helpful, always responded to my emails quickly and addressed my concerns. It's hard to do a math class online, but she gave many resources to learn the material.

Comment:

Reinhold is a rude professor. If you don't understand something, be prepared to feel completely stupid when seeing her at her office hours. She has no sympathy for those that dont understand the scribble she writes on the board and is very blantant with her disrespect. There are lots of labs and group projects, so be prepared to dedicate 30h/week.

Comment:

Professor Reinhold is a poor teacher. Beyond her unnecessary toughness and heavy workload, she is genuinely just a mean person. She has no tact when informing students of their mistakes causing her class size to decrease greatly by the middle of the semester. No one needs hand holding, but no one needs to be told they are stupid either.

Karen is a bad professor. She doesn't teach well, doesn't try that hard, & brutal on grading. The trick to surviving is to teach yourself as much as possible & find people who are smart to study with. She doesn't seem to care about teaching & indifferent overall. Be prepared to study HARD for any class with her. Disappointing experience overall.

I thought my previous math professor were horrible until I took Reinhold. She makes my previous professor seem like the best professor I have ever taken. She tells us to google something if we don't know it. For homework we have to code things in R but in class we learn nothing about it. Her exams are extremely hard with only an hour to finish.

A bit unprofessional. She cancelled a class and rescheduled it a different time in the evening because she had some wedding to go to. This is not fair to the students who couldn't attend. Gives unrealistic standards for class, must teach yourself how to code b/c it won't be taught, and she doesn't do a good job teaching. Nice, but poor instructor.

I don't have enough characters to explain how bad of a professor she is. She gives hard group assignments in a math class, expects us to pick up and learn a programming language on top of learning the other required material, relies too much on blackboard, and expects us to come to class on days we don't have class because she has to cancel hers.

I went in thinking I understood probability & left leaving even more confused than ever before. She gives a practice exam for each test, tries to help, but grades pretty harshly, and curves slightly. People struggled through the end. At least there wasn't much need for probability in MAT 363 as it was all statistics even though this is a prereq.

Took Probability for Statistics. Poorly taught, bad textbook, & tedioushard exams. Not too many good options for this course, so maybe try a different college. Class taken by a lot of actuarial students, who will be more focused on this than normal. Non-intuitive subject. Like other said, use Chegg for solutions for the textbook & teach yourself

Took Prob for Stat in Summer. Tests are very tough,no partial credit. Nice,but like others said, very bad teacher. Do all the practice problems for each chapter as you will do 1st 6 chapters & find solutions. Tricky questions on exams, boring lectures, & textbook sucks. I'm an A student & Asian, but got a C Plus, so take elsewhere if you can!!!

Not really sure why she has a hot pepper next to her name. She means well, but does not have a good method of teaching. I walked out of class knowing less than when I walked in. Attendance not mand. but you need to be there for group work, which is every class. You are put into groups for the whole semester. Homework every class.

She is a really energetic teacher and loves math, she's always smiling it seems, brings some life to this math department. The class is pretty challenging but she is a fair grader

I took this class for a major requirement, I'm not a math major however, so this class was a challenge for me. However, Professor Reinhold was great with giving you more time if you needed more time with homeworks. She is always willing to meet with you or go over something again if you don't understand.
