Comment:

While the material is clear enough in the way she teaches it, she doesnt go over enough to make the class worthwhile. Her lectures are the most boring thing ever, as she repeats the same information on a daily basis. At this point in the class (about 10 weeks in) we have covered about 3 weeks of material, and not much of it can be applied yet.

She really cares about your success. She is more than willing to help out as long as you can show that you've started/tried. Show up with a blank paper and you will be turned away. She has lots of homework but it all relates and you learn so much.

Life outside school isn't the same, there isn't a professor that will guide you, you have to learn things on your own. and that's what Dr hou is there for, she provides you with the tools to thrive and excel into becoming the best engineer. one of the toughest and best teachers i ever experienced and would gladly take her again in the future.

Comment:

Ling Hou is one of the better professors at SCSU. She really puts a lot of thought into making all the homework and labs tie in together. It is important not to fall behind because all the material builds on itself. Build an ASM chart, then a block diagram before you ask her questions. She will want to see what you have done before she helps you.

Here is some facts about this Professor. What she does in class that isn't fair is degrading student's choices to wanted to be in engineering field. She literally talk and talk in class on how maybe students shouldn't be pursing their dream to wanted to be an engineer. Her lecture, she just show slides and talk through them with no real examples

Go to class and do hw. Easy C, but if u do all your work u can get a b. Add studying for exams and u can get an A. But might be hard to get an A. I rarely see people get A's in Engineering anyways. HW weekly, pop quizzes once every a couple week. Exams are based on labs and HW.

Ling Hou is an ok professor. She wants to help you if you ask but she's kinda awkward. She explains great in class and answers any question you'd have. But Beware of the assignments. She uploads 2 assignments per week and unless you keep up, you'll get in trouble!!

Get serious now because you are taking class with Dr. Hou . You cant pass her class unless you understand concepts by doing her homework by yourself. Her method is tough but i guarantee at the end of class you will know what you studied. Lots of homeworks and lab reports.

Dr. Lou doesn't seem to care about teaching. She shows up to class a few minutes late at least once a week. Quizzes and assignments due at every class period and sometimes the assignments would only be posted the night before. Its Sunday at 9:00 pm and I just noticed an assignment that was posted at 5:00 pm today that is due tomorrow at 9:00 am.

I was taking this class with her last semester. I got say this course is more difficult that i think it will be. Her quiz is very difficult but VERY VERY helpful. She taught the knowledge beyond the course level sometimes. Anyway, she is one of the best professors I have met. And I will take her 322 next semester.Hope everything will go well
