Amazing professor, he is very knowledgeable about ceramics. The homework is easy & projects are interesting although time-consuming. He works with you on deadlines. Need to participate & help out at the studio as it's a part of your grade. He also provided many opportunities for extra credit. Overall, it's a fun class and an easy A if you show up!

I loved this class, Karl is a great potter and an awesome teacher. He has a lot of patience and will work with you no matter your skill level. He always has good feedback and will guide you if you want to be guided, or will leave you alone if that's what you want. He is very flexible and understanding. But be prepared to work hard and long!!

The only writing assignments you will have are in a journal you keep, if you do each one as they come per week its pretty easy, make sure you are in class to work on the ceramics projects. He is really nice, very easy going and approachable.

I loved this class. Karl was an awesome teacher. He taught us all the basics and let us experiment on our own to gain our own knowledge on ceramics. OMG, it was just a great class, definitely take it and fall in love with ceramics!

Karl's a great guy! His class has a very nice atmosphere, he lectures for a few minutes on what to work on and lets you work on your own while still being extremely helpful. Ceramics is not easy no matter how easy Karl makes it look! But by the end of the semester you'll surprise yourself. Take this class if you're intereste d in art

Karl really is a great professor and very knowledgeable in ceramics. He's always willing to help students, but he'll know if you're not taking the class seriously and lacking in effort and will grade accordingly. His class is a very relaxed atmosphere and he even encourages you to bring in coffee if you have the morning class. A memorable class!
