Comment:

She does not clarify anything at all nor does she care if you understand whats going on or not. I do not recommend her AT ALL and would definitely find another professor. What she discusses in class has nothing to do with what is on the test and she expects you to participate in discussions about stuff we have never learned or talked about before.

After reading the reviews on her I was scared. It turns out she's a really nice woman and a good professor. She's a pretty easy grader and provides many opportunities for extra credit. Just show up to class and on time. Everything on tests can be found in notes (mostly), lecture, and book.

She is the worst professor I've ever had. I was attending class on my lunch hour @ noon and I explained that I may be 5 minutes late to class. Her response was "how often do you think this will happen?" If you were late to class and she has called roll, you she wouldn't accept your assignments. She's very rude!

Took her Texas Gov class online. The quizzes are open book but timed. Not really easy but can be handled. Four essays that are strictly graded. Five discussion board assignments that are very lively. You will be called out by classmates if you posts are poorly written or with little research. Textbook is online and free. I learned a lot.

I took her hybrid class and left without a single ounce of new knowledge.. Her lectures are so pointless, she's terrible with students' questions unless they share her exact views, and her tests are way too specific and irrelevant to the basic understanding of government. You need to read the book, and take it twice to make an A. I don't recommend

Professor Evans/Sargologos is a horrible teacher. She is rude just like a lot of people on here have said and also not helpful AT ALL. I make almost all As at ACC and she in the only class i might be making a C in.. I stay ontop of my work and try extremely hard in class and on the essays, i still get C's....

This professor was great. I took the online course. It's ESSENTIAL that you read the chapters and conduct your own research, especially for the discussion boards. Otherwise, the course wasn't too bad.

Professor Evans is a good professor. I took her online class. The discussions for the bulletin board were very active. Nobody wanted to get owned in the online debates. She is a tough grader. There is a lot of work, especially for an 8 week course. But, it is manageable, and this is college.

I actually really like her.. if you do the work, study at least a little, and go to class, you will get an A. She has her own perspective on things but I thought she did a much better job of playing referee in our class instead of instigator

She is rude and condescending. As a 4.0 student, I work quite diligently. I treat my teachers with respect and feel I should receive the same. This woman was atrocious. She is disrespectful and treats anyone with a slightly divergent view like he/she is dumb. I made an A in her class, but I worked my ass off for it. I'm ADD and I learn best by asking questions; doing so helps me pay attention. This woman hates questions. She acts like they're a major inconvenience and her taking them is a favor.

Took her online TX Govt class. Grade made up of 4 essays and chapter quizzes. Optional 5th essay for extra credit. The essays we're a little difficult for me, would probably be easier if writing come easy to you. The quizzes are timed. Read exactly what she tells you to read, or you will waste A LOT of time reading unnecessary info.

If you have to take US government, and you don't taking it online, this is your guy! Short, sweet, and to the point. Helps you get the class done fast, learn, and diy. Quick with grading and allows for earlybirds to get their papers proofreaded. Would definitely take him for my other governments if I could. :) (took his online 8wk course)

She is passionate about the subject and her course helped me enjoy politics. Yes, she is a bit standoffish at first, but will warm up to you if you are a good student. The tests are easy for the hybrid course, they're open book/online. The essays are time consuming, but she grades fairly. If you submit your work early, she allows revisions.

This class was tough but fair, for sure. I took it in five and a half weeks, and I really appreciated how Evans made sure we had the opportunity to finish everything early since my schedule is always so hectic. It was a lot of reading, but the assignments really helped me learn about government. I definitely recommend Evans!

I pretty much enjoyed the class. I'm supprise about the comments I read here. I took the class online and it was very easy though I made a B+ out of carelessness on the quizzes. I would recomment that you take the online class. She was very responsive and prompt too.
