Comment:

Took him for Phil 110, lectures got a little boring and it was hard to stay awake sometimes, but overall enjoyed the class. There were a few short papers, easy midterm/final, grades fairly easy. Very accessible in office hours and genuinely loves what he is teaching. Highly recommend if you are trying to get a philosophy requirement out of the way.

He taught a good intro to philosophy class. Was not extremely complex for a group of students taking the class simply to get the requirement out of the way. Good lecturer in class. Can be dry sometimes but that's how philosophy is. easy class to get a B in

I loved him! If you're not into philosophy it can definitely get boring. He's awesome though! If you go to his office hours he'll really help you out! I don't know how he is in upper level classes but he was awesome in this one. Take him for your common requirement if you can!

gotta love him. always enthusiastic, very helpful, always available and if not he'll make time for you. compared to other philosophy teachers hes an easy grader with not much work, but you have to read. or sparknotes. also bring caffeine to his class.. hes great, but subjects get kinda boring

He walks in the door at 8am, huge grin on his face, and hes off and running for a solid 1 hr 15min in his german accent. I cant understand him. He doesnt write anything on the board and its impossible to stay focued. Great time to take a nap.

By far my favorite professor in the department. Very reasonable grader, and provides many thoughtful, helpful comments on papers and tests. He is very helpful outside of class as well and his vast knowledge of both continental and analytic philosophy makes him an invaluable asset to the department.
