Dr. Bruce is undoubtedly the worst teacher I'ver ever had! Her class is supposed to be a freshman seminar, yet I am doing more useless work in here than any of my actual core classes. She nitpicks every assignment and it feels like you never earn the grade you deserve. Avoid all of her classes at all costs

At first Dr. Bruce seems a little bit intimidating, but by the end of the semester I loved her! If you want to learn about animals, this is the class to take! Our class was very writing intensive and if you write by her guidelines you should be fine. Participation matters, as this is a seminar class (she notes every time you speak/don't speak).

Dr. Bruce means well, but the amount of pressure placed on students in this simple freshman seminar class is absurd. She is constantly playing "Devils advocate" in our "group" discussions, which she leads to begin with. Not to mention the millions of essays and responses, none of which she is clear on the requirements. DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE!

While this section does require a lot of writing (you can expect to write a few paragraphs for every time the class meets), it was manageable. The course does really focus on primate behavior, so if this is not of interest classes can drag on a bit.

Awesome Teacher!! Always finds some way to make the class interesting and brings in speakers. She helps out in any way she can and I couldn't have asked for a better professor for this class! The class was very interesting and she made the subject very clear and understanding.

Dear God, get a different teacher for this class. I BEG YOU. Completely useless and stupid papers due every class, and they are all graded hard. Unless you don't want to spend all of you time working on papers for a FRESHMAN SEMINAR class, the GET ANOTHER PROFESSOR.

Way too much work, and most of it is completely unrelated to the actual course material. Constantly receiving emails at odd hours with more assignments. She dominates in-class discussions and seems apathetic towards viewpoints unrelated to her own. I wish I read some reviews of her before signing up for the class.

WAY TO MUCH WORK for a seminar! Grades busy work papers so harshly and is not worth the work for a seminar. Attendance is strict. Worked WAY to hard for a B in the class. Will not take her for any other classes because she makes us write SO many papers. Nice lady, but totally off when it comes to teaching a freshman seminar.

If you take Dr. Bruce's Honors seminar, expect to have 2-3 times the amount of work the other seminars have. You will have some sort of writing or presentation due every class. The class itself is based on discussion, so go. That being said, the class was not all that unbearable and it will improve your writing.

She is very manipulative. Pushes these bs, busy work assignments that are so pointless and then grades them very strictly, they usually have nothing to do with the class. She makes you feel like an idiot for speaking your mind. I hated this class, DO NOT TAKE IT! Too much pointless work.

A very nice lady in person, but...Do Not Take This Class! She gives the most useless assignments that you would think that you could just BS like any other assignment, but she actually takes them seriously. She is very manipulative and is all of the time pushing her own ideas in place of free expression.

This lady does not teach you anything. You teach yourself from the book but you have to go to class because she gives out reaction papers almost every class. I wouldnt recommend her unless you are a nursing major because she doesnt teach you any Psychology. Her test are sooo long and so hard. She doesnt cover any of the material in class.

OK, so Dr. Bruce really gets into her lectures, and the study guides are pretty much on the ball, but her exams are too too too long for the 1hr 15min class. The test have all types of ways to ask questions....If your interested in learning why people behave the way they do pertaining to sexual matters...dont take this class.

I made an A in her class...but at a deep price...she was soo boring she made me hate sex. You don't learn anything remotely related to sex...it's all STDs and anatomy. *sigh*
