I actually enjoyed this class way more than I thought I would. Professor Pluta is helpful and gives great feedback on your papers. She has a process in which helps make your writing so much better, and emphasizes peer review. Overall would definitely recommend taking her class for English b1a.

This class was fast pace, and not easy. The books were good, but I just wish she was more helpful on the research paper. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone with a learning disability, since you'll get no help from her. She is a blunt person and will not accept any excuses for missing class. Take this class if you're serious. & good luck!

Mrs. Pluta is very helpful. Her syllabus is organized even when she was absent in class meetings. You’ll be put in groups and write essays and journals. She gives extra credit, so you cannot fail the class. There’s a lot of writing involved so be prepared! Mrs. Pluta does not like late comers so be wary if you like to come to class late.

Pluta is a really good teacher, the best i've taken at BC so far. The class isn't easy but if you read every book, do every essay, and pass your research paper then you're sure to pass and learn a lot in the class. She's very clear and organized withe every assignment/essay. The books were surprisingly good too!

Professor Pluta is amazing. She is so helpful and really wants her students to succeed! There are two books and one research essay. Doesn't sound like a lot of work, but trust me, it's an intense course. Be willing to put in a lot of time for this class and make sure to attend class. She is eager to help, so ask questions if you have any!

I feel that Professor Pluta is a great teacher that works hard for her students. Her rubrics lay everything out of you. The assignments are made to help your final papers that are due and she gives her students plenty of feedback. I would highly recommend to take her class.

The course work is nowhere near easy, but that makes it a little more satisfying to me when I do well with it. I love how she has every assignment and its due date listen in the syllabus, and she gives rubrics for every assignment. It makes things really clear as to what she wants. Her humor is a little dry, but all around, I love that class.

Prof. Pluta is a difficult teacher in the sense that her class requires a lot of critical thinking. She assigns a lot of little assignments here and there so I advise you to keep up on your work. Has somewhat of an attitude, but as long as you stay on her good side, you?ll be fine. Overall a good teacher.

Professor Pluta is probably the best choice for a student fresh out of High School. She teaches B1a and B1b, both pivotal classes for English Majors, and both classes I took under her. Be prepared to think - if you can do that you can get an A or B.

She wasn't very helpful to us in class. Nor by email, to me. Her textbooks were great. Her plan layout for the semester was great also. Highly recommend those hard working students to take her, if you aren't and dont want to be a hard worker, then don't take the class.

She wasn't all that helpful but got good class discussions. Good help from students, because of her. Great books- I think that the layout of the semester she made really helped me in the end. It's mostly a discussion class, just have an explanation for you opinion and interpretations especially in your writing. If you have nothing to back up your interpretation/opinion then you will be lost. Just listen and understand the DETAILS of the book and you will do fine.

She is a alright teacher. Her rubrics for the assignments are helpful and you'll have a assignment due every class. But one thing that bugged me was how she never gives feedback or comments on your final essays for you to improve. She just checks a vague checklist and it's hard to understand why you get the grade you get. her tone is annoying too.
