TAKE IT! She is so so awesome. Definitely my favorite class. It's hard to make an A but its not impossible. Participate and she will love you. I am so so glad I got this teacher. I don't even like english and it was my favorite.

Great teacher and just overall person. You will learn more about life in this class than actual literature. She is def not an easy A but if you work hard she will reward you. Our class had 1 paper (40%), midterm (20%), final (30%), and participation (10%). Don't BS the paper.

TAKE HER. Dr. Privett is the bomb. Super helpful. A bit quirky but all good teachers are! She tells it like it is and brings out the writer in you. That being said, she's an easy pass but a hard A.

She is a really fun and entertaining teacher. However, when it comes down to writing papers, she is NO help. She NEVER checks her email so don't even try. Don't take her class unless you're willing to be a teacher's pet. And go to class every day.

dr. privett was by far the worst teacher i have ever had. yea shes a cool person and fun but she never taught, and would expect way more from you than she gave in return. she gave zero help papers and never taught us a single thing. i went to class everyday and read everything and struggled to make a B-

Very easy teacher. If she knows your face and a little about you, you will get better grades, so go to class. Extremely Liberal. If you write to her Liberal liking, you will do better on your papers. Does not respond to emails. Lenient on due dates. Class does not follow curriculum. Does not give feed back on papers. Does not grade promptly.

Absolutely the best english professor ever. Had her for Comp 2 and I actually enjoyed it. the first day I was rattled by her style and sense of humor, but by the second day i realized she was awesome. In class you talk about random world issues, but she is more than willing to help. She grades essays fairly and helps you get out of unnecessary work

Interesting teaching style but the class will reassure to you why most people don't take English majors seriously. She is practically useless when providing commentary about writing. Not recommended if you want a class where you will end up with cliche subjective grading. Recommended if you want an easy C and a suck-up A.

She's an interesting teacher, but she doesn't teach. She is fun, but when it comes down to grading there is no guidance. She has class favorites, and when she grades papers she doesn't really have reasons for giving you the grade. She justs slaps a grade on there. Somewhat lazy. Don't take her unless you're willing to kiss up, otherwise expect a C.

Dr. P was great. Only assigned 4 papers for the term instead of 5 and was extremely helpful on all papers if there was ever a question. Kept class interesting, and let us take liberties on our paper so as not to make them dry and boring. I highly recommend her as a prof! Loved her!

Coming to class everyday was a blast. We read steven king and i am legend in class instead on boring shakespeare. Not to mention cancelling class almost every friday! Got an A because i like to think deep and as long as you try that youll be fine and love it!

Dr. P is great. I took her for W.Lit 1 and 2. She is really down-to-earth and makes class fun. Class is pretty easy if you keep up with all the reading. You can slip by with a B if you are good at BS-ing and sparknoting. You only have to write 2 papers. She's kind of a feminist though, but it's tolerable haha.

She's an amazing teacher. I had her for Lit 1 and 2. If you go to class and take notes on what you discuss, you'll be in excellent shape. That's all I did and got an A both terms! She's really helpful and makes learning fun..."conference days" are the best ;)

Dr Privett is one of my favorite teachers in my school career. Sure, she may not lecture every day but taking notes during the discussions help you on your final and also on your final paper. She gives a midterm, a final, and assigns a paper at the end. She's not hard at all and I learned a lot. Take her if you can!

She grades like you are an english major. She expects so much out of you when she doesn't even give you a rubric. She tells you want she wants and you can interpret it in any way possible, and then marks off points when you don't stay on task with what she asked for which no one knows. I'd advise against taking her by all means!

Very good teacher. She cares a lot about what her students are learning. She leaves it up to the student whether or not they want to do well in the class. She is not the hardest teacher, but that is good. A steady bell curve does not make a good teacher. Teaching like hers is what makes a good teacher. Sit in on one of her classes if any doubt
