In terms of academia, the only thing Mrs. Buckles is good for is turning Biology majors into other majors. Her lab throws an excessive amount of material at you, more than lecture courses. Don't even both going to the review sessions, she leaves stuff out, my advice is to learn EVERYTHING. Don't let a 1 credit class ruin your science dreams!

Pre-lab quizzes are a pain, but team up and they can be easy. Midterms and Finals are impossible, but don't blow them off, they pretty much determine your grade. Buckles is sometimes scary, but you have to have her, so get over it. She doesn't do much during lab, hope that you get a good GA! And yes, she is deaf. Oh yeah, MAKE FLASHCARDS!!!

You must take Sandy if you want to do any biology here, so accept it now. She is an unhelpful, discouraging jerk, however, it will serve you well to make buddies with the grad students. Most people drop out of biology because of her, which is the point, as awful as it sounds. It's one credit, and you're fine if you're still standing by the end.

Whoever says Buckles is not as bad as ppl think is def wrong! This may be college so working hard is a given but Buckles is awful. You only get 3 credits for her class but the workload is equivalent to like 3 classes. As if that wasn't enough, you also have to worry about lab. Daily online quizzes, weekly written quizzes, 3 huge tests-it never ends

Honestly, I thought this was a relatively easy class. Just be sure to read the lab book, as boring as that is, since quiz answers are almost always in bold print. Midterms and finals were difficult but definitely reasonable. Does answer questions if you only ask. Boring? Yes, but not impossibly hard.

Buckles... enough said. i personally didn't care for her. she seems like she could be a nice lady, but for some reason loves to think that she is "putting fresh and soph" in their places. her finals were insane and quizzes every week. unfortunately i really don't think there is anyone else to possible take. have fun with this one

Very dry and boring lectures. She knows her stuff. In lab she throws alot of random info into the course that is not performed in the lab and then expects you to know it. Advice: get a good TA and use them as your help. They do her grunt work anyways. Shes just difficult to deal with.

I dread hearing her screechy voice yelling into the microphone every week for prelab lecture. She thinks her students are in first grade and treats them like it. One of the worst teachers (if you can call her that) EVER!!!
