Comment:

For such cool subject matter youd think itd be a fun class, but she makes it so boring. She makes a lot of things more difficult than they need to be and its so frustrating. Would never take her again. She makes you go off campus to get a book that isnt online and a few miles from campus. Very frustrating.

You will pass. You wont necessarily need the book if you pay attention to her lectures. its just when it comes to the quiz which aren't a lot of points, reading at that point matters so take you pick. She is rude. So rude. She's condescending. If you ask her for help she tells you to figure it out yourself. Easy course but with an attitude problem.

She is ridiculously disrespectful to her students, doesn't care about their overall knowledge but rather wants her students to agree with her opinion. She leaves discouraging notes on test on how she felt that you could've done better or to simply "give up". I would never take this professor.

If you do the readings and come to class, there's no reason why you shouldn't do well on Dr. Auerhahn's tests and quizzes. While she is a good professor and very knowledgeable in her field, Dr. Auerhahn can be extremely condescending, rude, and dismissive towards her students, and that's why I probably wouldn't take her again.

I don't understand many of the reviews on here. While Auerhahn won't give you an easy A, her classes were one of my favorites. She is very meticulous in her lectures and cares about the material she teaches. If you read your readings, take notes, and actually study, there's no reason why you can't get an A. Also, the tests are curved to help..

1. I have never had a more rude professor. 2. I have never heard any positive feedback from anyone that took this class with me. If you decide to ignore me or anyone else that tells you not to take this class, that's fine. In that case you must enjoy being insulted and constantly wondering if you're actually going to pass the course.

Her Drugs, Crime, and Criminal Justice course is successful in providing students with a comprehensive understanding of the "drug problem." Being an upper level course, it is not easy; however, so long as you do the reading (which can be cumbersome) and take notes you will succeed. She engages her students and is passionate about the material.

This has to be the worse professor that I've had at temple. She's really rude to all students. I had a good GPA until I took her class. She's hard to understand. Another thing about her is that she wants you to buy a $40.00 packet plus 2 books. She doesn't understand that we're college students and don't have a lot of money. DON'T TAKE HER CLASSES.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS unless you are a genius. SHE is the worst and will BRING YOUR GPA DOWN. You could do the readings, attend class and maybe get a 75 on the exams. The paper is worth 30% and she believes a C is average even after handing in a draft.

I was really excited for this course and if I am being honest, I did learn a lot. She's very smart, but she's tough. You have to attend and study for tests! However, I don't like how she interacts with students-- dismissive, condescending, and rude. I don't expect to be coddled, I'm in college after all, but common courtesy doesn't seem much to ask

Great teacher, incredibly knowledgeable. Overwhelming number of texts and articles to read but class notes help guide your reading. Biggest criticism is that being so knowledgeable in her field, Dr. Auerhahn may accidentally assume too much information upon undergraduate students who aren't veteran CJ academics.

I really enjoyed her class. People who failed her class did not read the course material. If you read the text and listen in class, you will find the course easy to pass. She welcomes questions and encourages students to see her during office hours. Very smart and one of the best teachers I have had at Temple. Will take her class again and again.

She sort of acts like she's on speed because she bounces around like crazy, she is pretty smart and knows her stuff, but is very condescending and rude to student. I found her arrogant. She is tough, and you have to find the books. Thankfully I was interested in the course topic, otherwise i would have dropped.

Please do not pay any attention to people who say she is a good teacher. I believe that this is Auerhahn writing positive posts about herself. No student would actually say any positive thing about her, her policies don't reflect her own teachings nor does she have any respect for students. She picks favorites and is flat out mean. This teacher can't teach. After taking this class, I left Temple & transferred to Penn State where I received 100's in all my statistics classes. This teacher doesn't no how to teach and does not know the right way to teach statistics and ask questions as a professor w a doctorate degree should. She wants you to fail, don't EVER take any classes.
