I enjoyed having Dr. Benson this semester. There was a lot of work involved, but it was all done in an effort to make us better teachers and to make us better prepared for our future. Dr. Benson is very passionate about teaching and definitely has helped to prepare me for my future. She was truly a great professor!

Absolutely passionate about the art of teaching and connecting with her students. Class is very interactive and you are held accountable for the material. Many of the activities done in class are very useful in fieldwork. She expects a lot from her students, so if you are a dedicated student, beware.

I have had Dr. Benson for two of my undergraduate classes and have found her to be extremely helpful. We had to make a classroom management plan that I am still using to this day in my portfolio. She is on the Erie school board and I suggest if you want a teaching job you take her advice. Take her for your next course-I am glad that I did!

I've heard many complaints about her but I think she's a good professor. You can tell she loves what she's doing and that she wants the students to succeed. She has lots of variety in her teaching and does tons of group work, be ready to be called on!

knows a lot, comes off a little edgy, but once you get involved in the class it gets better. i wanted to drop her after 1st day, but ended up with a B+ a lot of work, but learn a lot quickly, youll get through it.

She can appear to be somewhat difficult but the more you participate in class the better. To get a good grade you should follow her instructions carefully on assignments. She usually is very clear on what will be on a test.
