His class gave me new confidence in my abilities. I started prealgebra with Pete and now im in my second semester of calculus. He provides a very solid foundation. Very good teacher. I just completed the work (correctly) and recieved an A. Very good with lectures and a funny guy.

It's funny to read all these great reviews because this teacher was a total ass to me --would put me on the spot yelling at me like if I was a kid. tries too hard to be funny at times which is annoying. I admit he can sometimes have his good days of teaching but if you like to get along with your instructors like I do dont take his class--

Definitely one of the best math teachers I've ever had. He presents material in such a way that it is very easy to understand (and I struggle with math). He's willing to help with any issue, be it math-related or otherwise. If you can take Mr. Herrera, please do!

Intelligent, funny, detailed, patient, and the best teacher I've ever had in my life. I walked into the class hating math, and walked out loving it. He made math easy and fun and used real world examples with every problem. Tests are Moderately challenging, but easy if you study. HW due with every test. You'll love this guy. Thanks Pete!

i've gotten crappy grades in math for the past 2 years, but this guy's got a way of explaining it so it's super easy to understand. i aced 170 and 175 with him as my teacher. yes, it's somewhat fast-paced but just pay attention and take notes and you'll be fine. i highly recommend him.

I took his math 120 class without taking a math class since high school and still got an A, but I worked hard for it. He moves quickly through material, but it's completely nessesary to cover everything in the semester, but if you fall behind; 1. your probably not the only one, so ask questions, 2. If he says he's available before class, he is. Also he's very responsive to e-mail. Has a great way of explaining even the most difficult material in a way everyone can understand.
