Comment:

Best prof I ever had. Biodynamics became a breeze with her. Her lecture slides consists of fill in the blanks so be sure to fill them in. Other than that, her tests are a mix of MC and written and focuses heavily on just her lecture slides and textbook. She also makes sure that her students get enough lab time after her lecture is over. Just do it.

Use KC's lecture notes to guide you where to look in the textbook (specifically Marieb) for more detail. Some lecture test questions come from the book or are word for word from the text. KC is more than fair during the lab and allows some spelling errors. Read the textbook and there's no way you can do bad.

KC's a nice professor who's willing to answer your questions but unfortunately doesn't teach well. Her tests aren't from her notes or the textbook. You'll need more than her notes and the textbook to ace her exams. She told me to use some resources but that didn't help me at all. If you take KINS 1190, I recommend choosing someone else.

Alright, I'll give you a rundown of what you can expect KC's 1190 & 1191 class: Lab exams will be difficult. She's often ambiguous about what will be on the actual lab exams. Expect her to test EVERYTHING, and I mean that. Posters on the wall, actual models, and theory questions can be expected. Study the slides and you'll be ok for the lecture.

I took KC for both 1161 and 2261. 1161 was super easy (I took the condensed course so 8hrs/week and only 6 weeks which I totally recommend), not a lot of hmrk & tests were straight forward. Only downside is exams are out of 40 (so 1 mark 2%) 2261 was much harder than 1161 (but take KC over Susan for sure). Overall passionate & well educated!

Be prepared to participate in class discussions and group projects. Participation marks and group projects are a large portion of the course compared to the 2 midterms and final. The content is fairly black and white after the 1st midterm, however she expects a lot of detail that isn't mentioned in the slides when it comes to the exams.

I took both KINS 2261 and 1161 with her. KC is a great teacher with lots of energy and a great way of presenting her lectures. Her in-class discussions are very relevant and she makes them fun! Relatively easy marker as long as you follow whatever guidelines she gives you. Would take her as a prof again!

KC is fantastic. Super passionate about the content, she makes it really easy to pay attention and learn in class. Very engaging, explains concepts well. I wasn't excited about this course initially, but it has turned out quite different than I expected - much of which thanks to KC. Great instructor.

What an amazing teacher - she's always willing to help, and has voluntarily stayed after class for hours to answer questions. Her lab exams can be tough, however entirely possible to do well in the course. As long as you pay attention and put in the appropriate lab time, you'll be set! She also gets you well prepared for your next set classes.

KC was great, very enthusiastic. Make sure that you pay attention to what she goes over in class and if you don't understand something make sure you ask her about it or study it in your text. She can zip through certain things that should be explained in more depth but as long as you put in the time at home it's an easy A+. Very fair marker.
