Super easy class but you won't learn much. All the answers to the quizzes can be found online and you just need to show up to class for collecting index cards. You will probably watch 5 documentaries and not go to 7 classes in a semester. Two finals in person, one of them being proctored and final was online.

I loved Professor Davis' class. She is very strict with computers and cell phones, don't even try. Make sure to stay on top of the quizzes and hw b/c she doesn't remind you- and they are all online. She will randomly collect index cards with things we have learned, so make sure to bring index cards to class too. overall a really great class.

Not a fan of this teacher, she was not very understand when I did get the chance to talk to her. The book isn't too terribly boring, you do have to read it though since she makes you write 4 interesting/4 important facts per chapter. Two chapters per week, plus weekly current event, also one research paper and final reflection.

I just finished her online summer session. It's a lot of work (weekly reading responses for 3-4 chapters) but you get used to the workload. I thought the book was incredibly boring but that's just me. As long as you put in effort you'll get full credit. The 2 exams were essays. If you keep up with the reading and do all the work you will get an A.

She was really nice and it was an easy class to take. If you are looking for a class where attendance isn't necessary every day then take it. Her tests were easy. Definitely recommend!

This was the first time this course, which centers on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, was offered online. I thought she did a great job overseeing discussion boards and responding to emails. She seemed to grade easy as long as you did the work. No tests; all reading responses (from an inexpensive book), DB posts, and a research paper. Great prof.

You will get at least 2 pop quizzes within the first 4 weeks because she will check to see if you are reading the textbook. But after those 5 weeks, it is all about 1 assignment each month and educational movies. Little work is needed during the semester, but be cautious of the final exam

Be ready for a lot of reading and to participate in class. Attendance is mandatory and a big chunk of grade. She grades easily but you have to follow instructions or she will ask you to do it over. She is a demanding professor, but she definitely helps you grow as a student and a person.

Professor Davis rocks! She is kind of rough around the edges but she is extremely nice and caring. She is passionate about teaching and she really cares about her students. Don't take her class if you are prepared to grow though. She will make you work and use critical thinking skills. AWESOME teacher!

Prof. Davis was one of the most supportive, passionate, intelligent professors I have ever had. She may seem very serious at times, as she is teaching very important, non-laughable material, but she has a good heart and truly wants students to succeed and learn about the world and its people. She is a wonderful mentor...go to her office hours!

Outline/writings for the 4 reading assignments, misc. papers/field trip, discussions (you have to participate) and final paper and presentations make up your grade. She is good at keeping the class informed on what she expects.

Davis is very knowledgeable but can be be difficult to approach sometimes because she can come off as kind of rude and short with people. She's nice and funny though. There were 4 books we read and each week we had to do a writeup/outline for each chapter we read. The rest is lecture/discussion. NO TESTS!!! One 10-page paper with presentation.

I'm a senior, and this was one of the best classes I have taken. Prof Davis is a great teacher, really cares about students and topics. There are no tests, which is great, b/c the pressure's off and you really learn something. Weekly essays help you absorb the information. Material/topic is very interesting.

I saw and heard all the comments about what a great teacher she was but i definitely didn't see that this semester. I don't doubt she's a great teacher in other courses but not this one. I think she had a lot going on in her personal life, so she seemed a bit disconnected from the class. 3 novels, 4 papers, 1 presentation...not too bad

Wow, I actually got a B in this class, which is strange. However, even though it seems I'm one of the few who didn't get an A, it speaks a lot that I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this professor/this course. Cares about the interesting, relevant topics. She opened my eyes to many things and for that I am grateful. Encompasses everything a prof should be.

pretty easy class. The hardest thing is the book report. You have to do weekly one page papers on the reading, your own opinion. She is very liberal, but a good teacher.
