You'll remember the class, for sure. She takes every single assignment and drives right into the controversy of it. Very heavy focus on women's perspective, lesbian politics, and gender issues. Doesn't readily take to dissenting opinions being voiced. You'll need a solid background in feminist to understand the lectures.

Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. Stockton has an incredible ability to explain complicated subject matter in a way that is easy to understand. The class was fascinating, the reading was great, If she taught more often I'd take every one of her classes.

Kathryn Stockton is THE professor to take at the U for critical theory/English. Not only does she care immensely about helping students succeed, but she is THE authority on queer theory in the nation. Hurry and take a class from her while you still can--she is mostly teaching grad classes now. This class changed my life.
