Comment:

My least favorite Professor at SAU. She is unreliable and her lectures are all over the place. Test are hard because each question could have multiple right answers. You just need to know which one she prefers even if it is out of context. If you study ALL the time for this class it should go okay. No extra credit/curve for test.

While she may really challenge her students, she makes you really learn the material. For pre-med students, or other students who really want to take the class seriously, her class is a no-brainer.

She's tough but great. Difficult but not as difficult as other science professors. She wants to see you succeed. Usually grades exams on a curve, drops quizzes, and is always available to talk during office hours.

She's good. You'll learn more outside of class than in it but it's like that for all science classes, at least for me. She grades on a curve tho, drops quizzes, and really tries to help you succeed. In my opinion, she's the best option at SAU.

Unclear lectures difficult to follow. Instead of telling us the material, she asks us rhetorical questions on the material she's supposed to be teaching us. Notes are scattered/all over the place No flow charts to see processes for important things. She mostly talks scatter-mindedly Tests are meant to trick you Get a tutor who knows her style!!

Really hard class, but willing to stick around afterward to explain anything you didn't get, also in class answers questions. Hard tests, final was easier than previous chapter tests. Know details and don't ever skip. Get a tutor. Go see Dr. A in her office.

Dr. A is really great, caring, funny, and understanding. Her labs are fun and lecture were very interesting and in-depth, but her class was really hard. I took Basic Microbiology from her and struggled to get a high B, but that's most every micro class.

Dr. A's classes are not meant to be easy, nor is she in any way teaching you to regurgitate information. Her classes are all about conceptual learning, those people complaining that her tests are hard expect easy answers. Her tests are very hard, and she may test over new material but she is reasonable. Learn concepts. Go to her for help!

Dr. Azevedo is a super sweet lady! She is extremely knowledgeable but can be very confusing in class. Always read before you come to class, or you won't pass! Her test questions were confusing, and we were often tested on things she never spoke about. Attendance was technically not mandatory, but you would miss quizzes, which hurt your grade.

Horrible teacher. She is all about trick questions and her thought process is confusing. She goes fast and heavy in class. You can ask questions but the answer is always "well that may be what you understood from what I said but what I meant was..." She is brilliant but seems too smart to be able to teach effectively.

Dr. Azevedo is extremely smart, one of the most friendly and nice professors you could ask for. Her class is challenging but if you go in to her office and ask for help she will help you for as long as you could ever want. She is excited to help you and if you dedicate the time you can do well. People who bash her didn't invest time.

Dr. Azevedo is a very nice lady, she is really sweet. But her tests are ridiculous, and some of the questions have multiple answers. The quizzes make no sense, and if you ask any questions she will answer them but in an even more confusing way.

She is an excellent teacher who has a deep understanding for her students. It just that students need to do their part in reading a head the next topics. Here's the rule that i created for her her class: "Don't go to class without reading a head". Seriously, if you don't read ahead, you'll have a hard time understanding because she is quite fast.

Dr. Azevedo is not to be messed with. Her tests and quizzes are difficult so you MUST study for them. Otherwise, you will not do well. Always look over the lab before lab as you will be quizzed on it before you begin. I wish you the best of luck. She is not an easy grader.

EXCELLENT teacher. She is clearly excited about the material, and does her best to present it in a clear way. One does not simply get an 'A' in her class just for attending, though! She is very helpful in office hours as well. She also will change grades if the graders were too harsh.
