Dr. J's classes, were by far, the most difficult classes I had during my college experience. Not only is the subject material difficult, but the workload and reading is near insanity. That aside, she will help you get the grade you need/deserve. You just have to work hard for it. Outside of class, she is ridiculously nice. Would have a beer with.

dr. j stands out as the professor that i will remember and tell stories about into my own old age...she's not easy, but she wouldn't be who she is or have the impact that she does any other way...i'm happy to still stay in touch with her, and hope that i will for many years to come...

Dr. Jackson is difficult, but she's always willing to help if you're actually trying. She's never hid her feminist views. Take her class, expect to work, but also expect to learn. Her classes will help you with any other Mass Comm class you decide to take outside VWC.

Very tough teacher -- I was afraid of her at first too. She expects a lot and pushes her students, but she wants everyone to succeed and goes out of her way to help her students. One of my best professors at VWC.

One of the few professors who actually expect you to do work *gasp* I was scared of her during my first class, but after a couple of years, you realize she wants to help you succeed. As far as "indoctrined into feminism," she never gave me that feeling, unless you're afraid of a strong, smart woman.
