Comment:

I learned a lot in this class that I had no idea about. Kathy can be confusing at times, but she knows what she is doing in this class. The key to this class is to make sure that you have your "assignments" in class the day they are due because you will likely be peer reviewing things.

Comment:

One of the best professors I have had. She is truly committed to student learning. You will have to work for your grade. She will challenge you. She has tremendous knowledge of the subject matter. The criticisms here are heavy handed. I suspect they are from students who were not passionate about the subject, are slackers, or overly critical.

Intro to Therapeutic Rec with Dr. Scholl was awesome! She is very laid back and flexible with each class. Her focus was on the students taking meaning away from the class and not to memorize things. I always looked forward to her class and she is a very fun professor to be around - she's always in a great mood!

Kathy is a nice person, I'll give her that. But she is a miserable teacher. Her expectations are unclear and grading is subjective. Her tangents in class distract you from objectives. The material is easy enough, but you never know how she will grade your work. The assignments are unclear and material is full of typos. Avoid when possible.

She's a really sweet teacher. She tries really hard and I think finally gets how to teach research and eval. grades ok, but you really need to know your stuff for the quizzes and test. Just try, and TALK to her like a person, she's really nice. :)

This is the worst class I've ever taken. The material itself is not difficult, but she is terrible at communicating directions effectively and is horrible at constructing test questions. This is ironic since her side work consists of developing surveys. Her test questions are unnecessarily confusing and filled with typos. Avoid if possible!

I've taken her for several classes. I would recommend her highly. For any of her classes, I would recommend reading the books, because she puts textbook and lecture both on her exams. Very helpful as an advisor too. Very willing to work with students and knowledgable about the topics that she teaches.

She's a very nice person, but she tends to drone on. I didn't feel like I learned a whole lot and her tests were kinda hard. She uses "Umm" and "Uhhh" all the time and it's hard to figure out where she's going w/ the lecture.
