Professor Simons is a remarkable professor. I love her way of teaching and she is definitely my favorite professor in accounting department. She assigns homework problems and goes over them every class, so do the homework and you will have a better understanding on the materials. FR1 is not easy, but not that hard if you put time and efforts in it.

Every class, you go over the homework and take notes. There were 3 exams, including the final, that were all easy. She takes the multiple choice from the textbook, so memorize those. I suck at accounting, and got over a 100 on two of the exams. There is one project, but it's on ratios and she gives it to you a month in advance. Took me an hour.

Fantastic accounting professor. Simons is by far the best accounting professor on campus and is an extremely accomplished woman. Although she gives a lot of homework and her tests can be challenging, she clearly outlines what is on each test and gives you suggestions on what should and shouldn't be studied. TAKE THIS CLASS!

Best Professor I have ever had. Ever. She really is a great professor, lectures are clear, available for extra help, truly cares about the next step for her students. She is truly an accomplished women and a great professor take her if you can.

Rated her before but since I've taken her several times I feel like I should rate her again. I'm almost done with my college career and I must say Simons is my favorite accounting professor I've had thus far. If you aren't an accounting major, do not take her. She is a great professor and you will learn a lot. It's hard, but it's accounting.

Lovehate Professor. I love her. Lectures are very fast, you must keep up (and cannot miss a class!). If you need any help at all, she will gladly be there. No matter who you take, this is a tough course. I've taken her before and enjoy her teaching style. Put in 20 hours of studying for the final, got a 95. It takes work.

Half the class was comprised of non-accounting majors that never took accounting in high school. That half struggled, and the other half coasted through easily. If you've taken accounting in high school, it's very easy. She answers your questions if they aren't stupid. Best intro to accounting teacher you can take.

Heard she is good to take for FR1, but I took her for FR2.. absolutely impossible.. I studied for days in advance and still bombed a few tests.. if your going to take a FR2 professor take Krumweidi, he focuses on the fundamentals and what you need to know and basically gives the you exact questions he is going to have on the test

I will go to my grave saying Kathleen Simons is the best professor in this school. She literally inserts the info into your brain. You do not speak or think of anything else unless she tells you too. great command of the class, tough but 100% worth it, if your serious about accounting, you have no choice but to take her
