He is very hard to pay attention to and follow in lecture. Makes the material even more confusing than it already is. Is not at all consistent with his grading, basically told the class he wants students to fail. 100% regret taking this class with him.

Dr. Asano is incapable of discussing the material in a way that makes it matter to students. His lectures are a disjointed regurgitation of the textbook, without any guidance as to what he wants students to learn. He is flaky, changing grading standards multiple times. Overall he seems like a nice guy, but will be a drain on your time and tuition.

Asano is a terrible teacher, he intentionally stated that he wanted less student to get an A in his class and therefore made the final and Exam 3 incredibly hard to "lower the class average". He does this weird attendance thing where he takes your (% of attendance - 50) and thats your points out of 50. So miss two classes and now you have a B :/

He is unorganized, wants students to do bad. He apparently used to be good but now has a stick up his butt. Literally averages on test dropped over 2 letter grades with him, and he comes during the second half of the semester so you cant drop the class (or I would). DO THIS CLASS SOMEWHERE ELSE

He will let you study hard on your own. His lecture doesn't make any sense and his test is way out of the lecture materials as well as your book knowledges.

Nice guy and wants you to do well. Must attend all lectures to succeed in this class and study his notes closely. Gives extra credit via iclicker and you will need it as he co teaches this class and the other modules covered by a different instructor are HARD. BIOL 450 is a hard class, study A LOT, go to class and you will pass

He seems like a really nice guy and offers extra credit for going to the review sessions. If you can't attend those, you can answer questions in class for extra credit. You must sign up early to do this however and i would fully suggest it. Know the locations # of membranes for things as well as what he emphasizes in class. Should get an A or B
