Professor Wiss by far is my favorite professor that I have had at Westcon. She has also been my advisor and she is so easy to get in contact with and just talk about classes and life. Her classes are great and very understanding.(Ive had 3+ classes with her) If you start to struggle contact her and she helps right away. A lot of work but easy. A+

I graduated 7 years ago and Katy Wiss still stands out as one of my favorite professors; I had at least 3 courses with her. She was intelligent, lectured well, and was an understanding person (I was swamped with finals and she gave me an extension). I remember there being a decent amount of work involved but hey, its college!

Katy is one of the best Professors I had at Western. If anyone complains about her it is just because they didn't do their work. She gives you a lot of homework, but it is the EASIEST homework and she doesn't even care if its late. I know this because I had her for 6 classes, and I got an A in all of them. Do the work and you'll do fine.

She gives a lot of homework, but barely reads them. You can write 5 sentences and get a 100 on them! The class goes by quick with discussions and watching tv episodes. She can be a little rude, but overall is nice.

Katy Wiss is the best professor I've ever encountered. I've attended 3 universities and she is the funniest and makes the content interesting. Looking back over my college career, most of what I remember is from Katy's classes. Take her! You won't regret it!

Katy is hysterical and very knowledgeable. She brings in episodes of her favorite shows (dexter, the office, nurse jackie, etc) and incorporates them into the course content. I recommend that you take any of her classes. My favorite college professor thus far.

Professor Wiss is funny and very understanding of students. She keeps the class interesting by doing different activities instead of just lecturing. She is a hard grader on papers, but offers a lot of extra credit to help your grade. As long as you do all of the assignments and pay attention to her assignment requirements you will get a good grade.

very tough grader refues to give decent grades. does not have good attitude and finds herself to be above everyone else. many classmates that were comm. majors got unfair grades in the class as well.

This class is sort of easy. She isn't as clear as she thinks when she puts notes on the board. You have to present 3 times in the class and the times for the presentations get longer and longer. Just complete senior thesis with her, and its was a semester of torture. She made it extremely difficult and NEVER had a positive comment or words of encouragement. Was a very tough grader. She should consider teaching at a graduate level. On a positive note, made herself available to the students. Very Negative!!
