I took two courses with him (BI308 & BI302) and got an A in both. Hes a nice guy but his lectures are disorganized and his expectations for projects are extremely unclear (a little better if you talk to him about it individually). I would recommend going to class but reading the textbook is the main thing you need to do with his courses.

Not a good professor. He's such a nice guy but definitely don't recommend taking his class if you're looking for a good grade. His courses will bring down your GPA for sure. His lectures have no guideline and are irrelevant to what we're tested on. I studied extremely hard for this class and did poorly.

I don't recommend anyone to take any class taught by this prof. Going to class, I never left with notes. His teaching is awful and he likes to draws a lot of diagrams. He does not post ANYTHING online, leaving you with no notes to study with. He's an extremely tough marker (class average for our midterm was a 32%). Provides no guidance for exams.

This course has been the worst experience of my life. I would not wish this upon anyone. Dr. Ramsay does not give you any marks back, I am currently going into the final exam without receiving the two of my midterm grades. He gives no outlines whatsoever, and asks difficult questions. I regret this taking this course.

No notes, doesn't tell you what you should be writing or what he is going to test you on. No real help is given when asked. Class AVG over 2 midterms, with your best mark taken was 44. If you want to learn anything or get a good grade do not take his class

He's certainly not the easiest prof... but knows his stuff... if you need help he is almost always accommodating. His expectations are a little extreme. He did not post lecture slides online so attending class is highly suggested.

Enjoys the material he teaches which makes it more enjoyable for students. Makes occasional jokes that make classes interesting. Exams are a bit unorthodox, but prove that you know your stuff.
