Comment:

This class was SO difficult to pass! She only gives a few tests which is what the majority of your grade will come from, so if you fail one you've basically failed the class. The lectures were very monotone and didn't cover the material that was on the test. I had to withdrawal from this class because I couldn't bring my grade up.

Comment:

Don't do the readings she assigns as they don't make sense with what she actually tests you on. She gives lots of extra credit based on written responses to movies that involve the class. DON'T MISS CLASS what she says in the lecture is going to be on the test so if you don't show up your screwed.

Professor Jordan is overall an okay professor. You don't need to read the pages in the book word for word, but make sure to use it for the study guide. The test questions come almost directly from the study guide. The study guides are long so may want to start on those a couple days earlier.

No homework/quizzes at all, only 4 exams are counted for grades. I am a lazy person so this is good for me. The exams are not easy though. If you get 70s on all of those exams and do some of the extra credits, you should get a B.

Loved this class! Professor Jordan is very lecture heavy so do not skip but as long as you are their and take notes, the study guides and test should be easy. Also recommend talking to peer about material to better understand. She assigns readings, but personally I didn't do them and did just fine. She is funny and jokes a lot, awesome class.

Reads directly off the PowerPoint. One of our test was online and only had 35 minutes to finish a 50 question test and its not easy tests. Gives a study guide and that somewhat helps you but not really. Book is hard to understand. Makes you watch movies outside of class and write a report for extra credit and to get the credit she has to like it.

DO NOT TAKE. Her class reminded me of my times in painful middle school lectures. I am someone who loves learning and usually gets good grades, but this class was a complete waste of my tuition money. Every class is time wasted while she slowly reads off powerpoint slides and rambles on useless info. The tests are too tough even after studying.

Worst professor i have ever had, no matter how nice you are to her she is extremely rude back to you. Speeds through sections and has extremely unclear notes. Her class is the worst, she provides no help and talks down to you like a 6 year old. She has no problem calling people out or taking phones (in a 170 person lecture) HORRIBLE DO NOT TAKE HER

This class was the worst class of my life. She judges you based on your religion and her tests are ridiculous. She does not help you what so ever and she is super hateful. I got an A in anatomy and physiology but I got a C in the class... DO NOT TAKE HER FOR ANY CLASSES! YOU WILL FAIL!!

Dr. Jordan gets a bad reputation, but she's really great. Talking to her will get you a long way, and she always makes herself available. 3 tests and a ton of extra credit. She makes her tests seem way harder than they are. There's a lot of info to study, but if you have a good understanding of it, you'll pass. Long lectures, but cut-and-dry.

Reconsider on picking this professor. She is extremely rude. Her lectures are long and almost pointless. She rambles about off subject things. She expects us to read the book but contradicts them in lecture. She complains when the entire class asks her to slow down. SHE CONFISCATES PEOPLE'S PHONE LIKE WE'RE IN HIGH SCHOOL.

First of all, Dr. Jordan is one of the sweetest professors I've had. Go visit her in her office hours - she loves to talk and gives pretty good study tips for her class. That said, the course itself is run poorly - slideshows with unhelpful notes and she contradicts the book we are "required" to read. Don't bother taking notes from the textbook.

I enjoyed this class. study the notes (I highlighted the notes I needed to know based on the study guides) and you'll pass. Don't screw up on the first test, it's hard to come back from it. other than that, great teacher, she cares about her students.

Hands down worst teacher I've ever had at RU. Does not know how to organize notes, worksheets, or even work a computer. AVOID at all costs. Study guides are worthless and her test average is so low that she's forced to curve because she "cares about her students". DO NOT TAKE!!!
