He's not nice, he insults the class more than he teaches them to get a better understanding of the work in the mean time, tests are difficult, when you do notes on Down and Out in Paris and London, do notes on the last 13 chapters. I highly recommend to avoid his class like the plague and he treats everyone in the class like idiots

Class was almost always dismissed 25-30 min early. Dr. Kazarian is a very friendly person. Pretty funny guy too. If you're cool with him, he'll be cool too. He sometimes tends to cut off people when they're talking, but he does it to try to help. He gives a decent amount of work, but it's not that difficult if you do the readings & focus in class.

This guy drives me crazy! Yes. He is unorganized; he is a major scatterbrain. Yes. He assigns goofy texts, then expects you to suspend belief, and discuss the text as fact. Yes. He doesn't teach how to write, but he will tell you how not to write, but only after he gives a low grade on your essay. Yes. Oh yeah, he says, "yes" after every sentence.

I took his class during the summer and it was pretty straight forward. Other than working on your essays (3 during the summer 4 during the semester) and blackboard (which are only 1 1/2 pages long) the only homework is read. He had quizzes almost every day on the readings. The research paper is only 8 pages on a central coast issue.

Warning: its a risk to be on the waitlist. we had 3 or 4 ppl try to get in on the 1st day and he said he couldnt fit them when we had seats open and a lot of ppl dropped it througout the year. dont miss class a lot or he wont like it. another thing i hated is that you had no idea what your grade was. he'll just ballpark it if you ask him

I really liked him. Very fair on grading. If you go to class everyday and try you will get a good grade. Essays are not hard or confusing. One of my favorite teachers. Kind of funny, and he is understanding when it comes to family issues.

easy teacher gives easy assignments mostly makes you read and write essays about what you wrote. had to write a 9 page research paper on a current issue. overall easy class but if you aren't there on time or everyday he WILL NOT like you. he loves to gives D's and F's to people who don't pay attention in class!oh and he says "mhhmmm yesss" A LOT!

Dr. Kazarian was ok I guess. He was kind of tough though, and I think he was unfair when it came to my final grade. I definitely expected an A, most of my work was composed majorly of A's and a couple of B's but he gave me a B.

He's not a bad teacher but...he laughs like Goldmember from Austin power... he laughs when nobody thinks things are funny.. when he asks you a question he doesnt even listen... he talks over you and says YES YES YES like a thousand times when he has no clue what you're talking about. or simply says no and does not let you talk. Dr. K was such a good teacher that I took two of his english classes. His teaching skills make him easy to understand and his down to earth demeanor makes him approachable. His assignments are very simple and clearly laid out. Easy B or A if you actually try.
