He is really hard to understand the first few weeks of class, but it doesn't really matter because he just reads the power points. One test and one "big" paper which is mostly just charts and graphs you find about your topic. Go to class and study for the one test and you should get at least a B+.

Such a terrible prof. Seems like a decent guy but can barely speak English and lectures straight off of his powerpoint. Lectures mainly consist of how to derive a bunch of curves and charts. Snore.

Comment:

Often times I felt really lost, especially with assignments and what exactly he wanted from us which was stressful. He does give study guides for the tests though which are helpful. If you study them thoroughly you should do well. Lectures are boring/pointless but he does take attendance randomly. Paper was easy once i figured out what he wanted.

Very nice guy, very smart, flexible and willing to work with you. If you are having trouble with the material it helps to ask questions and let him know. Grades highly based on effort so if you make the effort and let him know what you are having trouble with, you will most likely get a good grade.

This class doesn't matter if you can understand Prof. Slo or not. You won't learn much from him. Lectures are pointless except for attendance pts & collecting handouts. It all depends on your TA and how well you do on your homework, which reflects your grade on the midterm and final.

At first he was difficult to understand, however by the end of the quarter did not have a problem. He is more than accomadating to help, and with a little work, and a good TA there is no problem getting a A in the class!

I took social inequality with this guy. Great guy, really nice. Very kind. Just make sure that you come to class on time and don't leave before he dismisses you, or he goes nuts.
