Comment:

Hard to understand and very quiet, but you get used to it after about 2 weeks. He goes into detail with examples and proofs. I dropped 140 in the fall and took it again in the spring. Wiesak was much better than the professor I had in the fall.

Comment:

I took his math 141 class last semester. Even though I didn't do that well in his class it wasn't his fault. Penn State's exams can be pretty hard and deceiving. I think he does a great job to prepare you for the exam. His quizzes are fair in difficulty and his homework is usually easy. He's also pretty funny, would take again.

Comment:

Kaz is such a nice guy, but he has a thick accent that can be hard to get used to for the first couple of weeks. Math 14o in general can be a hard course, but Kaz makes it easier. If you complete your homeworks neatly, you will earn bonus points. Very small amount of quizzes, lowest two are dropped. Exams are tough, so study and read the book.

Comment:

Kaz is helpful, but doesn't like to write out long solutions or answer long/diffulcut questions. He's obviously good at math but it isn't his passion. He is funny and you get used to his accent quickly. He gives you HW grades which save you quiz averages! He's a good guy, the math dept tests are just tricky and deceiving- not Kaz's fault

Kaz is not the best. You can choose another one if there is a better. However, He was not bad. He has an accent but you get used to it pretty quick. He is lazy and not passionate about the subject. Funny sometimes. Gives long homework and tell you to hand them in in only 2 days but are all from the book where slader is always there. Cool guy.

Kaz is a chill guy, don't get me wrong, and he's funny and light hearted, but he's not passionate- at all. He's not the best at explaining things, but if you took calculus in high school you'll be fine. He's not awful, but he's not fantastic.

He does have an accent but you get used to it pretty quickly! As far as test and quizzes, they are LONG but he will give you a better grade than other professors will. He teaches very quickly and through a lot of examples so you should have a good background in calc before you take this class. I got an A in AP Calc and barely got a B in Math 140

Would take with a different professor if you can. Never seems to grade fairly. Multiple times on homework assignments of 70+ problems I would get at most 4 answers wrong and would always be given an 80% grade. Often on tests he will give you 4/10 on long answer questions and not tell you what you even did wrong. Class average on tests was 63%.

He has an accent, but you get used to it. He tries to make class fun. He explains clearly and slowly with plenty of examples. Quizzes are not hard. Does not give a lot of homework or quizzes. Great professor overall.

I guarantee that he is not a bad teacher. Everything is good except he talks TERRIBLY SLOW! He explains slowly and clearly and it is easy to understand (as long as you take his accent). He does not give a lot of quizzes and you don't even need to do homework if it is not collected (he will let you know). Easy grader. Btw, I fall asleep every class.

Although he talks slow, his pace is pretty fast (that's not really a problem if you are good at math... ). Exams aren't hard as long as you do the samples he gave on Angel. Homework is counting with quizzes for grade so if you didn't do well on quizzes (which I didn't lol) you can use your hw to help cuz he drops the lowest 3 of your hw or quiz.

Kaz is by far the best professor I have had to date. he has slight polish accent but it does not impede learning after you get used to it. Usually a quiz and homework once every week or two. He teaches at a good pace. Open to questions and really wants you to learn. He thoroughly enjoys his job and it shows. Is very thorough in teaching material.

The class was taught very well. Every day there was a huge amount of examples from the textbook that really helped you understand the material. He does have an accent but I could easily understand it. The tests were hard if you didn't study but if you did they were easy.

Kaz made this class as easy as possible, and gave a lot of opprutunities for credit through homework and quizzes. He has an accent but it's easy to get used to. Overall one of the best teachers I've had.

He is a great professor in general. I am an international student but I can still catch his accent which might seem to be hard to understand at first. I got 7 homework, and 6 quizzes, and he takes 10 highest scores for the homework&quiz grade. It is fun to take his course too. :D

Kaz is amazing! I thought my high school calc 2 teacher was awesome, but wow! Kaz gives plenty of problems for practice to make sure you know the material. He always has a way of being funny and keeps class really interesting. Only problem is he doesnt like to do problems that take too much time to write out, even if you ask him. Still my favorite!

He has a strong accent, but I adjusted. He tries to be funny. He will ask the class if we have questions while looking down at his textbook and he doesn't look up and he moves on. He stands right infront of his work so I can't see what he's talking about and he moves on soo quickly that I fall behind. The course is hard but he makes it harder.

Kaz is simply the man. He made me appreciate calculus more when I took this class. He has an accent that takes 1 class to get used to. He will teach you calculus well. 1st exam was easy. 2nd exam was harder than necessary but still got a B on it. Overall, love this class and love Kaz.
