Gispen is nice, but tough. Don't disagree with him. In your assignments, try to repeat his ideas back to him. That way, you know he'll agree with the ideas you present. He will make sure you become a better writer and will go out of his way to make sure you learn how to perform better in an academic setting. Overall tough, but fair. Easy B. Tough A

Gispen is a great teacher, but can make you furious and say that your ideas are all wrong. If you keep up a constant conversation and don't disagree with him too much he will be a great friend. His class requires a lot of work but is worth it His tests and papers are hard and you may need to defend your work, but he will listen and help.

At least once in class Gispen will make you angry or feel like an idiot, but if you forgive him for his bluntness he is actually a great and kind guy. He is very very very knowledgeable and interesting in class, but will definatley let you know if you are in the wrong.
