This man should not be a teacher!! He does not understand how to use blackboard, yet he assigns coursework to it. He has deadlines that constantly change and is very last minute with things like class trips or when he posts things to blackboard. IMPOSSIBLE to contact via email!! Waste of a class, wouldn't EVER take him again

His class was very interesting material-wise. He chose interesting topics and articles but was VERY unclear as to directions. Wasn't true to the syllabus, couldn't understand the directions, and never responded to e-mails. Slow grader but fair. Difficult class to keep up with since there's no clarity as to due dates or deadlines.

Eh. I would avoid him if possible. Nice guy, but very unhelpful when it comes down to it. Additionally, when you need to contact him you need to physically find him or call him because you will not get a response through e-mail. Like I said, nice, but if you can avoid his class.

Do Not Take Carrington! He isn't clear, gives you grades and doesn't explain why you got points off. He is very disorganized and makes a lot of mistakes in grading! He is very demanding and makes no sense! Stay away!

Criminal Justice is interesting itself, but Carrington focused the class way too much on racism. The only cases we reviewed were about women lying about being sexually assaulted or stop & frisk policies. I wouldn't recommend him to be honest.

Not a bad professor - nice guy and a fair grader. Did a good job of trying to get students to think and form opinions about current events and also helped students improve their writing. He did have a tendency of putting people on the spot. Also did not return all emails.

the other comments say he sucks and he picks favorites, but i guess i was a favorite. cuz i think he was great. He assigned 2 papers the whole semester and there were 5 online quizes; if you didnt study you can google the answers. you only need the white crim justice book

Took him in an online class. Never answerd emails. NOT HELPFUL AT ALL. Syllabus is copied from the previous semester and the dates are not even changed then he gets upset when you email him and ask him for the corrections. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. TEST UNREASONABLY HARD. Some answers can not even be found in the text book.

He is a very understanding professor. Very lenient. Does not assign a lot of work, just occasional papers, a test online and a end of the term portfolio. His three hour class ends early. He does pick favorites so try to get on his good side. Study and read the white paperback criminal justice book.

Well it didnt help when an online class started in January and you didnt get most of the assignments until the beginning of april. Emails usually went unnattended, but it wasnt horrible tests werent hard Just read the chapters. Easy grade I got a B+. Take the online class I hear its better than his regular class.

Dr. Carrington is a very nice man, however, it seems as if he is too preoccupied with extracurricular activities. He does not devote the time to the students' needs. He does not return emails, nor requests for assistance in a timely manner. Dr. Carrington may have too much on his plate to really be effective as an educator.
