Dr. Howell was an extraordinary professor. Yes, he does not shy away from difficult problems, and there may be some occasionally difficult problems on exams, but the quizzes are very straightforward. He will go to the ends of the Earth to make sure you understand if you come see him. I recommend him a thousand times over. Thanks, Dr. H.

He was a decent teacher in calculus 1 but terrible when I had him for calculus 2. He's a nice guy and will help if you come in after class but he SUCKED when I had him for calc 2. Be prepared to have tests with only 3-5 questions and that are much harder than the homework and classwork. I'm great at math but damn

Dr. Howell is probably the best math teacher i have had. hes been my teacher for 2 semesters now and he makes math seem effortless. The way he teaches through lecture can be a little boring but if math is your obsession like it is mine your heart will be racing the entire semester.

Dr howell is a great teacher however if you need help you need to go to him however he will make time for any student. I have had him for 2 years through precalc to calc 2 and have learned so much and think I will be able to use it in life! We have became great friends and really cares about all of his students! He knows what he is doing!
