If you're a liberal then you'll love this class! I'm not a fan of Lockridge. If she figures out your political views are right of center she basically ignores you during class discussions. The overall course was great though, just wish she would teach more neutral then throw her feminist liberal views at you.

Prof Lockridge is the best professor I've had at USM. She pushes us - makes us think - and expects a lot. That what this is about. I took every class I could with her.

Professor Lockridge is an excellent Professor. I took her on-line cinema and women class and loved it. She does have high expectations for her class, and she does give out a good deal of work, but she is a super fair grader! As long as you are thorough and/or consistent and do the work, you will get a high grade.

By far the worst professor I have had at USM so far. She has high expectations without giving clear instructions, her lectures are dull and unclear and she takes it very personally if you disagree with her opinion.

Very unclear, expects alot of work, does not teach the class, the class teaches itself. Big assingments due every week. You need a 100$ camera for this class. Be prepared for an hour presentation at the end of the term and she lets you know about this presentation about 3 weeks in advance. BeWare

Media and Social Change...Very demanding class but also interesting. You have to go to class and do most of the reading. 10-13 page term paper due at the end of the semester. No tests...only essay tests. I got an A on every one. Demanding class but easy if you do the work. She's also a fair grader so it evens out. IT'S ALL WRITING...NO STUDYING.

Intro. to Media Studies is a moderately easy class. You definitely have to go to class and do the reading but if you do that...the tests are easy. Half of the test is done in groups, so that helps boost your test grade. Do the work...go to class...you'll get an A! No papers other than short responses!

Lockridge unfortunately is soooo bad!She is confused, scattered, unorganized and truely MEAN! Doctor is a title that should be stripped from Lockridge. She has yet to demonstrate a single qualification for being a college professor. I have learned more from this teacher than most of my professors at USM. At times she is unorganized but she is passionate about teaching. If you want a challege, give her a chance. She expects a lot from her students, and makes you work for your grade...you deifnitly earn it.

I think that Rebecca does not get the credit that she deserves. I am not a student who but TONS of effort into school but I still managed to get a B plus in her class. I think she is very helpful in clarifying any confusion you might have and she is very concerned with the students progress. Don't be afraid to tak her class I think shes awesome!

She seems to like teaching this topic but her expectations are very unclear. The class consistantly requested additional clarification of what was required. The tests are simple if you do the vast amount of reading required. It's an easy A. Make sure you can back up any ideas that you have that may be different from hers.

She is absolutely horrible. Has no idea what is going on most of the time and is unclear about everything. Her classes are boring and pure torture. This class gave me nothing but migranes from listening to Rebecca ramble on about her daughter.
