He is the worst teacher I have ever had. My class was supposed to be a politics class, not an American History class. But if you want to hear him ramble about his adopted daughter or stutter or say ummmm all the time then he's the professor for you. He also makes you stay late almost every day.

Worst teacher i have encountered at Pitt State. He is retired which means his class does not even show up on angel. He loves to hear himself talk and says "Umm" hundreds of times per class period. Forgot to mention it easily is the most boring class I have entered too. Trust me, if you have a class with this man you will regret it. It's terrible.

His class is hard, but interesting. He is always will to help you learn the material and will explain it during class. There are a few writing assignments but they are not to en-depth. The test can be hard, but he does grade on a curve, which in my class was great. over all i love this teacher and his is a nice man.

Too hard to be a GEN ED. Does a good job describing what he is talking about. Gives lots of oppurtunity for points, and is very quick at returning HW and tests. If you actually remember that you are in school and should have to take notes and put out some effort,you will do good. Not a walk in the park, but for people who try, and go to class, easy

Not only is the book a better teacher, it also has a better personality. He mutters and makes arrows going to arrows about random stuff on the board. Completely confusing and boring

He is a good teacher and knows his stuff. He has a weird way of presenting his material though. He pronounces the presidents name "Boosh" and has a difficult speech impetiment. If you can get over that, he is a good teacher. His tests are quite lengthy, but if you go to class, take notes, and listen you will do fine

He's the most stupid man I've ever met. He is the most unorganized teacher I've ever had and taking notes or even recording what he says in class is pointless. His political views usually bleed over into the tests and if you aren't a conservative, expect a C or D in the class.

This class is pointless, and he spends A LOT of time on pointless things. He is also ****, and isn't politically correct at all. Really hard tests (all essay) and class drags on and on. Plus the stuttering problem. It's just a bad deal.

The books we had sucked and didn't make sense, but McCoy is the type of the teacher that wants you to succeed in his class, he knows what he is doing, and I learned alot. The tests were hard, but what did you expect, this is college, not high school.

Mr McCoy is a nice guy, and his lectures are about as interesting as government can get-if that tells you anything. I enjoyed the class, and I liked his teaching methods-he likes to talk to the class and express his opinions, a lot of times they're funny. His tests were kind of hard, though.

Freaking annoying! He stutters worse than my 2 year old nephew, never makes a point, and his tests have absolutely nothing to do with what we talk about in class. Oh, his opinion is never wrong either.
