If I did not already understand math really well, I would fail his class. He is not a good teacher at all. He knows his math but he cannot explain it at all. He is a very nice guy and more than willing to extend your deadlines, but he is hard to understand and makes math almost boring.

Dear god do not take him for class. He is the laziest professor I've ever had. All he does is read definitions straight off a paper in the front of the class with his hand in his pockets. He'll do at most 3 sample problems that are the easiest of the chapter, then give you a bunch of homework questions that he never even went over.

Mr. Young is a nice man, but my complaint just iterates what nearly everyone else said--definitely not a good teacher. Expect to teach yourself and ALWAYS do your homework.

Dr. Young is a great guy. His lectures are boring though, and you get a lot of homework. if you don't go to class its okay, you will still pass. All the homework is online, we never had to use the book. He gives some exams in class, but as long as you attempt the problem he is give you some credit for it. Easy class but not doesn't explain it good

This class was pretty easy. Didn't really have to show up but it helps a little to be there every other class. Homework really teaches you the class. In class he just goes over the homework problems. Final is online as well as most quizzes except 1. Doesn't keep class for long. An hour and 10 minutes at most.

Can't really teach very well. Doesn't seem to care to be honest. I mean it's an easy class. Don't get me wrong. But I mean I learned more from the homework to be honest.

He is a really nice professor but not the greatest at teaching. He mostly works homework problems and rarely teaches a lesson. We're about to have our 3rd exam, and we still haven't gotten past chapter 1. He also takes awhile to respond to emails.

Mr. Young is a great guy. Gives ample opportunities to come out on top in his class. Seems like he cares about you passing the course. Just listen and take notes, and you will be fine.

I never went to class and came out with 92.6. Only homework and test count. Make sure you do the homework. It helps a lot and you can use one page of notes on the test. MUST TAKE.

Although he likes to ramble on and on about stuff you could not care less about, he actually does teach. The homework is for your benefit, and ask him about problems whenever you come to them. He will work them in class. He also is very nice when it comes to giving credit on problems on tests. Definitely take!

Dr. Young is obviously a nice guy, but he is not a very good professor. He does offer an opportunity to solve a rubix cube for extra credit, and he will give you some credit on tests if you at least attempt the problem. But his lectures are boring and he takes forever to get tests back to you.

Don't. Just don't. He rambles like there's no tomorrow, and it is so hard to pay attention. He assigns so much homework. Between the like 100 book problems and 50 online problems (per chapter) it adds up quickly. He answers your questions in class if you ask, but learning it initially, he's not very good.

There is no doubt that Mr.Young is very good at math, the problem is he isn't as great at teaching it. He is not very thorough with his explanations, and if hadn't already taken pre-calculus and calculus in high school, and were learning these as new concepts I would be better off teaching myself. Nice guy, easy class, not clear, weak teaching.

Mr. Young is an extremely nice guy to talk to and wants his students to do good. He gives assignments that go over the material covered on tests. He does not go over every problem on the board, so you have to figure some things out yourself. On several occasions he did use the same problems on the test that were on the HW.
