He is very old fashioned in his teaching. I don't think he has changed his class in 20 years. Despite that, I loved him. He is very relaxed and caring. He has great experience to share. There was quite a bit of reading in the beginning but nothing major.

Springer is a great prof and legit cares for the students and God. His classes are easy but you do learn a lot from them. You need books for weekly book reports but those are uber easy as well. Just take good notes pay attention in class and do the reports and projects also easy and you get an A.

TAKE THIS CLASS. A great prof. Uses lots of videos. Take notes on a laptop, he goes too fast for pen&paper note taking. 30 minute breaks for night class & you usually get out at least 15 minutes early. You need the book to complete the worksheets, but you only need to skim for the answers.

I loved this class. It was incredibly easy and also fun. I learned a lot without having to put in a lot of time outside of class. Take it as a night class if you can. He gives a half hour break and always lets out a half hour early.

Springer is a wonderful man, can be really upsetting sometimes (especially when it comes to scheduling your last year of college) but has a heart of gold. If you take his intro to CED class, thats all i'll say for an A ;) His Mr. Bean videos and James Dobson videos are a hoot!

Yes, most of his classes are easy, but this man has so much knowledge and lovefor the Lord. He is compassionate about every student..and he knows every single person by name!(even in large classes) I have had three classes with him, and have felt that I am ready for ministry, which is the point ofit

this guy is a cakewalk--just show up and you can get an "A" - the easiest professor in the religion division -LCE was a joke. But at least it required no work so you have lots of time to fo other courses.

Since Ratemyprofessors uses "easiness" as one of its ratings factors Springer will do pretty good--his classes are the easiest classes in the division. HOWEVER, just because they are easy does not mean you don't learn--I learned a lot.

He has to be the kindest prof at IWU. There is not a mean bone in this man's body! His class is very easy, yet I learned loads of practical information for ministry. I appreciate his kindness and still consider him a friend who I talk with regularly.
