Dr. Smith is a must to take if you have the chance at IWU. I took his BIL classes as electives and they were by far the best and most impactful classes I took in five years at IWU. He challenges and inspires you to look deeply into the text. An amazing experience I will cherish the rest of my life.

I thought he was the nices teacher I've had! His stories about how he became a Christian were so encouraging. His class was pretty tough though (it could have been my lack of studying!!) I was very happy taking his class--he's an awesome man

The greatest! I have gotten more than my money's worth from him...he is amazing and has such a heart for God and his students. He truly cares about each person and that we not only learn the facts in his class, but also grow into a much deeper understanding and relationship with God. Take him!!!
