Funny thing about Kelly; if you show her your interested and put in some effort, you get rewarded and the subjects she teaches are all easy. If your a bum and your just waisting your parents money so you can attend frat parties, she's hard. Dr. M is a professor, not an instructor, thatdoes make a difference.

Kelly is one of the most down-to-earth, funny professors I know. She's not willing to skimp on your education, so the material is hard, but she is always willing to go over it with you, with hints--again and again if necessary. Anyone who says any different obviously doesn't know her very well.

Bio 223 is not supposed to be an easy class. It is one of the hardest and most time consuming at Bradley. Studying previous years plant questions will help a lot, she does not change a whole lot. If you do a plant final project, do something that she likes and you WILL be rewarded.

Dr. M makes you feel very small. She has a way of presenting herself that is intimidating and unapproachable, which is the case. She tries to be helpful (when she can be found), but often talks over your head on purpose. Her lectures were random and taught entirely too fast to be of any help. Study old tests' plant questions & this will help most!

Just a warning - if your final project deals with plant content, be prepared to make another life out of finding that woman anywhere. She is pretty unreliable in that regard, and when you actually do get to talk to her, she's very vague! Dealing with her this semester was very frustrating!!!

PLant stuff can be boring, but she tries her best to make it not so much. She is very busy so she is kind of hard to get a hold of. Give her some time and she will help you out, very nice person. But once again, BIO 223 is a kick in the butt.

Dr. McConnaughay may seem distant and unintersted, but as chair she can be busy, but if you are patient she is more than willing to help. Her lectures are awesome, packed with info, but does a great job presenting material. Slackers should not take BIO 223, but should change majors.

Hint to surviving this class: Praise her like the god she THINKS she is. She doesn’t provide much help. Shouldn’t be head of the department and teaching this class at the same time. Her condescending looks and arrogant attitude attempt to make you feel dumb, but don’t fall for it.

Its really easy to blame the professor when you get a bad grade, and thats what I think a lot of people do in this class. Dr.McConnaughay is a good professor. She is easy to understand, is helpful with those that make an effort to learn, and I learned a lot from her lectures.

The tests are wild goose chases, you have guess what they want you to write down. I learned a lot more than I needed to on the first test because I thought they wanted more than just lecture info. All of the book work that I did was useless, they really wanted us to regurgitate lecture stuff.
