Worst professor I've had at ISU. It's the longest class you'll take. He's so boring. He's also somewhat disrespectful. I wish I wouldn't have taken this class.

Good professor, talks a lot from experience. First exam was easy if you used the books MC Quizzes online. Final Exam was a lot harder but ok. The only neative is that his udrive is a mess, but if you listen what he says you can pretty much know what is likely to be on the exams

Teacher is extremely boring and very into the MIS topic, but doesn't make the class that difficult. Really unorganized with his Udrive and syllabus. You'll have an assignment due each week. He wants depth more than quality. Tests are straight out of the practice problems online and the questions on student ppts so its easy. I got an A

Absolutely, positively worst teacher i've had at ISU. Incredibly unorganized, tests are ten times more difficult than need be, and his lectures are dreadful. If you don't have to take him, I absolutely INSIST you do not. His U-Drive is a joke too.

This is the worst class I had this semester. The most unorganized professor I have ever had. Assignments were impossible to find and his grading was confusing because you don't get to follow your grade. DO NOT TAKE HIM. Boring and you wont learn a single thing.

He is a very nice guy, but certain unorganized. His lectures always run over the allotted time without getting through the material. The final project was easy and he offered plenty of extra credit. He may take suggestions in the beginning of the year as to what to focus on in the course. Take that seriously as it can get to be a long semester!

He has no right to be an accounting professor. He is so boring it is unbelievable. Also, he cannot grasp that the students in his class are not all BIS majors or want to be. He believes that IT is the only good career choice and has no respect for anyone else's ideas. Good Luck!

This class was very difficult to sit through. There is a lot of information, and the professor is very disorganized. Also, I took this as a summer course and the amount of work was very high. Overall, I did not really enjoy this class.

Dr. Schambach is not a very good professor, especially for the material presented in this course. He is a very nice person, but is even more unorganized and seemingly clueless about most questions directed towards him. It is not a hard class, but definitely try to get a different teacher. Good luck!

A great class with lot of great information. Unfortunately, Dr. Schambach disorganized delivery makes it really hard to follow what is important. He also isn't too great at answering questions, and often leaves student clueless. The class is an easy A, but consider taking another instructor if you want to get more out of it.

First off, he is not as bad as some make him out to be. Yes, his lectures can be long and dry, but if you pay attention he explains the material fairly well. Some of this class is hands on, like creating PERT charts and ERD diagrams. My only beef is that there are only 2 tests and each covers 8 chapters. 3-4 tests would have been better.

I can't believe some of the comments on here. Surely his classes are not entertaining, but he really tries to encourage BIS majors and really pushes the profession. I've learned a lot, but the way he speaks can put you to sleep and he sometimes talks in circles. He's not mind blowing-amazing, but certainly not deserving the harsh comments below.

Schambach isn't a good teacher but his class is easy. The tests are straight forward if you read through the chapters and his projects arent that tough either. I got an easy A in this class and either zoned out during class or skipped. If you take this class prepare to be bored but the class in itself isn't bad.

AWFUL! Did not know what he was talking about, could not explain simple concepts, homework was useless, tests covered a lot of material not even mentioned in class, boring lectures, dull personality. I wanted so badly to learn a lot in this class, but it's not going to happen. Sorry to the people who have to take him!

Possibly the worst teacher I've had. Doesn't seem to know what he's teaching, and is terribly out of date. Very boring, tests that are very, very nitpicky and detailed. Avoid at all costs!

ZZZZzzzz He refuses to belive that everyone is not a BIS major and not going to be working in an IS department, and that's the way he teaches (well at least tries to teach.) You don't learn anything with him, nothing. Wait for fall to take class with Hauke. He expects you to be able to produce solutions he would after 20+ years of work experience!

Class was not hard, but it was a lot of busy work. He sets up the class so he never has to lecture. I did not really learn too much....just went through the motions to get my A.
